HyVee has the widest variety of options and the freshest produce in town. I am always able to find what I am looking for.
If I could give zero stars, I would!!! We go in to get a refund on rotten steaks we had just received, management was so rude! I wanted to email you to inform you that two of your employees were extremely rude to my family and I. We came in per request of a different employee to get a refund for our rotten steaks we have just purchased. And we were met with nothing but disrespectful employees. Kirk the manager of the meat department in South Sioux absolutely was the most disrespectful man I have ever met. He told us it was our fault even though we FROZE the steaks and he told us we needed to eat it right after we bought it. We have never had issues with buying steaks from hyvee until now. These steaks made us sick all night, WE EVEN BROUGHT THE STEAKS IN. And they still told us it was our fault. Not only did my family not get a Christmas dinner, we also got badly disrespected. Unless we get our refund back, you can consider us never coming back and shopping with you guys. We didn’t get our steaks or receipt back

The spices were poorly organized and the store did not have McCormick, my preferred brand. On the way out, I noticed an open container of whipped cream. I tried to tell one of the staff, but was told to "Just leave it." before I even had a chance to finish a sentence.
Came to this store to get seafood after speaking to the meat department only to find out they closed the seafood counter at 7 and didn't once mention that on the phone and when I asked customer service about it they told me it should be open till 9

I want to share with you the beautiful experience I witnessed in customer service yesterday. The gal who is always working was extremely busy with a huge line and phones ringing non stop. There was a gentleman at the counter doing several transactions paying on line and getting money orders, he looked like he was suffering a medical condition. The gal was friendly, answering the phones, and working fast and efficiently. She noticed the man was not doing so well and got him a chair and assured him he was ok, and no bother to her and to rest while she finished his transactions. She continued to check on him as he started to look worse. She was calm and discreetly offered him water and to call someone which he declined. She finished his transactions and again asked him if she could call someone or help him in anyway. She let this man keep his dignity and remained calm. Eventually the man went on his way. I want you to know she was extremely busy and went out of her way to make sure he was okay and didn't cause a huge scene to embarrass him. You don't get this kind of service anywhere these days and this made my heart smile. This is not customer service you would get anywhere else and that gal should be recognized for this beautiful thing she did. This is why I shop at Hy-Vee.

This is the worst Hy-Vee I’ve ever been to. I go regularly, I should love it but I am constantly disappointed. Hy-Vee brand is amazing, other stores, excellent. This store is the worst. The layout, the service, the selection. I even feel like I’m paying more at this store vs. other Hy-Vees because my experience is always wanting.

They tried to force me to pay fraudulent charges again. This time I was able to see that clearly they were attempting to force me to pay tax on a $2.00 coupon off 4 cases of coke products which is a food item and has zero tax. The manager that the older lady cashier had come over said it was deposit.. ok so $0.14 is the deposit on 96 cans at $0.05 per can, $1.20/case? Glad you are a manager without basic math skills. The cashier straight refused to acknowledge anything, some people refuse to learn anything. Hy-Vee also has a price guarantee where if they ring up an item and its incorrect they refund you cost of that item and you keep that item. They dont follow that policy either. It never fails Hy-Vee is constantly ripping people off. Happened to me about once every couple months at least on many different items over a year and a half time frame. Per their request I contacted them. They took the complaint and escalated it, told me I would be contacted and after weeks of nothing I call them back and they couldn't find anything in their system so then they had to re-escalate it. This is a common occurrence with them so I'm not surprised. Their online items available don't match what they have in store either, I spent weeks waiting for them to contact me about Amstel Light, they don't even care that it was on two different locations as being available for 6 and 12 pack. To all who look at reviews: Hy-Vee has a price guarantee, so when your items ring up and they don't match what the sticker price is you are spose to get item free. I know for a fact that they don't proactively follow their own guarantee. I've seen multiple customers walk out the door being overcharged while waiting for my issues to be resolved, I also communicated with others as they were leaving about me being overcharged and they ended up turning around to go back in because they were overcharged.
I went in to get donuts at 8:03pm. The case was full of donuts. No one was behind the counter so asked another associate if she would get them for me. She said they close at 8. I can’t help you. So I asked a manager about it. He said he was the front end manager and couldn’t help me. So I ask where was the helpful smile in every aisle? Are they union and can’t do another job they weren’t hired for? Hmm seems the more we pay for groceries the less helpful Hy Vee people are

Really trying to be understanding with this store but selling outdated product is not okay. I had a delivery come with (4) individual salads at $4.99 each and ALL FOUR WERE OUTDATED AND SPOILED. This was the final straw as things like this have been going on for some time now. HyVee….get your employees to check expiration dates and quality control would be helpful.
