Great atmosphere, awesome food, and friendly staff. Music was moving, and gradually got louder as the night went one. This would be a great spot to hang out at the bar. They do not hold back on their portions, this is the only place I’ve had to bring some steam pot back home. It’s very well priced for how much you get, unlike Joe’s or somewhere else. My only complaints as a family dining was they don’t have a kids menu and it took like 25mins after we were done to get the check. I've heard so much about this place so I was in the area and decided to eat lunch I ordered headless shrimp with corn on the cob and had 3 small potatoes with Iced tea definitely will come back here. I go to hook and reel regularly. The food is always good, and fresh. The bartender Paris is amazing. He is very attentive, and friendly. I’ve gone to other hook and reels in the area, the west Orange location is by the far the best. The service and food is top tier. I came here with a few friends after work for dinner/drinks. We waited in the front for host to greet us, after waiting about 3 min. A server quickly approached and sat us. Krystle was extremely knowledgeable of the menu & made us feel welcomed. She checked on us after receiving our food and made sure our table was clear of empty plates etc. I will definitely return! Been here so many times and have brought many friends over to try it as well. I order crawfish combo, a beer, and raw oysters almost all the time. There was only 1 time the oysters tasted tasteless, kinda weird, but other than that, everything has been good experiences. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Came for our afterwork outing and we had a FANTASTIC time. Staff were super chill and the food was amazing. Loved the whole vibe and atmosphere. We'll be back. My wife brought her work crew the following week and then said the same. Outstanding professional and attentive staff plus GREAT foods and Drinks. My Rum Punch.... Outta this world! My mom and I are visiting N.J. for my great Aunt’s 90th birthday. We live in Texas. Our hotel suggested this place, and I am so grateful they did. Our server was Reggie, he was AMAZING! He made great suggestions, was energetic, personable, and spot on with his service!! Great job Reggie!! Baybeh…this place was DELICIOUS!! The crab bites were made with REAL crabmeat, the shrimp fried rice had lots of shrimp, the crab boil still has my mouth watering, just GREAT!! I walked in for take out. The restaurant front entrance look as it over due for some cleaning especially dusting. I proceeded to order the regular 8piece wing and French fries.The service was good, the young lady greeted me and took my order and answered my questions to her best ability. Food was great! Had it delivered, so maybe not the ideal situation or the way it was intended to be served. We ordered hush puppies, seafood rice, a fried fish basket with sweet potato fries, and an order of scallops in garlic butter. The seafood rice was a bit too greasy, but I guess that makes it extra yummy and I would order a different sauce with the scallops. Again, it was all very good, but not necessarily over-the-top amazing.
