This restaurant and Botaniska Tradgarden can be both really attractive for tourists. Guests highlight that they like Cuban and Mexican cuisines here. Wow! This was a great visit, and I'd refer to it more as an experience than just a nice dining. The two sisters (hermanas) who owns the place, clearly has a talent for setting the atmosphere and creating a vibe that let's you feel like you're having one foot in Mexico. Hermanas is not to be mistaken for some ordinary south american rip off - this is a place where the love for not only the latin kitchen, but the allover family like and welcoming feeling really shines through. From the superbly friendly and attentive service, to the explosion of taste that is the narrow but exquisite menu. This is simply a great place to spend a evening. The drink menu is somewhat of a living thing, written with chalk on the walls, based upon rum and tequila, where the cocktails are well made. And the bartender seems to actually like a unfamiliar request which clearly shows in the results. The small restaurant only accommodates approximately 30 people, and this might very well be the key to deliver such a wonderful and complete package of food, service and cocktails. Hermanas focuses on what they know they're good at, something more restaurants should do. The only downside would be the seemingly impossible task to actually get a table, but when you do, know that you will be in for a treat! Even the time from order placed to food served was impeccable. had the shrimp taco which was really good & my partner got the fish taco which he loved too. then got the fried burrito with pulled pork while he had the mixed plate with different small dishes. the burrito was sweet, i was expecting some heat with mexican flavours but nothing sigh. the mixed plate was sweet & sour; this was confusing. This place is amazing! Mexican food in Scandinavia has always let me down and is usually too blend. But this place exceeded my expectations! I had the tacos and they were all packed with different and delicious flavors. the ambience is fun and eclectic and the place has a nice and easy vibe. My partner and I had a fight before went to restaurant but after having great tacos I kinda forgot about the fighting and only very happy vibes😂 Thanks for great tacos! I really liked the salad and shrimp taco😋

We had various dishes including the big plater, jerk and avo tacos, veggie skewer, cheesy corn. Ambience: fun (lots of choice for drinks!), cosy and colourful! The place is quite small so gets booked up. Worth booking in advance for weekends. Service: fast, friendly and very accommodating. I wanted some vegetables instead of vego-sausages on the skewer and they were super accommodating. Most of the menu can be made veggie or vegan so major plus! Food: flavourful, fresh and full of variety! This is one of the best restaurants in Västerås and the best Mexican I’ve had in Sweden (including in Stockholm). Love this place! Charming decorations! Forget "swedish tacos" - this is real. All the tacos are bursting with flavour, tortillas is made of corn flour. The frozen margarita here is the best I had in my life. The platter is for 1,5 people, not one portion. I wouldn't really recommend platters as there are so many things to eat that you get confused. And also because you really should not miss out their tacos!

Love this place and its decoration. I ordered "mix tallrik"and I was not disappointed. Thou if your sensitive to spicy food you should tell them beforehand to make it less spicy.

Small cozy place, great food and excellent service. Went here for dinner with friends. We were all happy with the visit. We ordered and shared alot from the menu and all tasted super. The service was excellent. The place was small, around 10 tables but very cozy.
