My wife and I enjoyed dining at Hazy Barbecue in Danville on a rather wet and rainy Tuesday evening, and it was a really great experience. The cozy BBQ-style ambiance welcomed us and the staff was very easy and pleasant to work with. No lines to order a a relatively short wait. The order arrived in a timely fashion and was correct with no errors. We opted for a two-person three-meat combo, which included pulled pork, BBQ ribs, and brisket. Each meat was juicy and well cooked, with rich flavors, without being overly smoky. The pulled pork was tender and juicy, the ribs fell off the bone with ease, and the brisket was wonderfully flavorful and succulent. It's clear that Hazy Barbecue takes great pride in its meats. For sides, we chose Brussels sprouts and tempura green beans, both of which were tasty and complemented the meats well. The Brussels sprouts were roasted to perfection, and the tempura green beans were a good, crispy treat. Next time I will probably opt for something other than the tempura green beans, but they weren't bad, just not amazing. Adding to the experience was the chance encounter with Justine, the owner. She was incredibly nice, professional, and made sure our dining experience was nothing short of excellent without being intrusive. It's rare to see such a hands-on approach that adds a personal touch to the dining experience. Despite the rain, the restaurant was pleasantly quiet, allowing us to enjoy our meal in peace. It was also noteworthy how clean both the restaurant and bathrooms were, creating a comfortable and inviting environment. The pricing was decent, with a special Tuesday offer for ladies and a Tuesday Happy Hour with all-day lunch menu that provided great value for money. Although we didn't have our kids with us, a quick glance at the menu confirmed that it was very kid-friendly, something we'll keep in mind for future visits. Whether you're a local or just passing through, like we were, do yourself a favor and stop by Hazy Barbecue. It's a gem that deserves all the praise and a solid five stars in my book. Appreciated the great food and service here. For Super Bowl got to meet Tammy and she was great at getting my Super Bowl order right. Appreciated the assist in carrying it out as well. As always food was delicious and a hit for my get together. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It's a pretty standard BBQ place. It has a great beer menu and friendly employees, we just weren't impressed with the food. The Tenders came out a little cold, the Mac and Cheese was small for 12 bucks, the nachos were good in flavor, but the meat (burnt ends) was left in huge chunks, I feel like they could chopped it a little. UPDATE: Wanted to see and talk to my wife at Thanksgiving so we took advantage of the Hazy package they offered. It did NOT disappoint. 2 gigantic turkey legs, smoked white meat too...mac & cheese, cheesy mashed potatoes...good heavens it was good. Consistently delicious smoked meats with some decadent side dishes, Hazy does not disappoint. Been coming here since they opened and the place just gets better. So wonderful to see a place that not only survived but thrived. A commitment to good service and good food goes a long way. I’m not sure you can go wrong with most selections on the menu. It’s interesting that you can see people devouring ribs at one table and other tables enjoying a salad. If you enjoy bbq, Hazy has a dish for you. Love their Mac & cheese and the new tempura green bean appetizer is so good. Great selection of beverages too. Lots of taps plus a delicious Jack & Coke slushie. My husband and I try to have lunch at Hazy BBQ in Danville at least once a week. Great food, service and beer choices. They have a really nice patio if you like to sit outside. Highly recommend! Absolutely not worth the money. We got ribs and brisket: the meat is dry and dense. No smoke flavor or smoke ring, it’s just grey. Ribs are thin. Brisket has no intramuscular fat. We got Mac n cheese. The first one came out cold. The second one came out warm but it was still elbow pasta mixed with shredded cheese. This restaurant has never heard of a bechamel, the base cheese sauce for Mac. Garlic bread has good flavor but the crust was tough nearly stale. The loaded fries and the 1 beer were the singular bright spot. $60 with tip even tho you pick up your own food and bus your own table. Wouldn’t go again. Man. I loved the joint and the food. Prices are on point. There is parking but limited amount up front - may have to park across the street. Friendly staff. BEER IS COLD TOO!! 1 minor thang... the trash builds up quick with the bulky trays and metal utensils. No real place to put the trays that I could see at the time. Tasty barbecue! A cool spot with yummy food, cocktails and live music. Sides were tasty, and the meats were delicious but dry. Wonderful smoky flavor though, don't miss the ribs, brisket, and cheesy potatoes!
