Harris Teeter is great, they're the best if you enjoy paying 3 times what the product is worth. On a positive note their employees, and customer service had been there best no matter where I go compared to any other super market.Emily who was working the customer service desk was great tonight in helping us with everything we needed help with. Congrats on graduating college, and we wish you the best moving forward as a glass blower, or art teacher
You'll do great at whatever it is your heart leads you to... Emily deserves to be paid more and I have no idea what she makes. I just know she's worth more...!!!
On a recent visit, while standing at the check-out, the cashier next to me nearly knocked me down with the cart as he was pulling it through. I informed the manager. A few weeks later, I get an application for a Harris Teeter credit card. H'mm.
Terrible place went to customer service unfortunately I didn’t get the blonde haired lady heavy set woman name first off she had me waiting at customer service and I simply asked if I could load a simple chime card and she kept repeating herself “ if it goes through western union”. How I suppose to know what that mean I never had so much trouble with asking a question terrible customer service!
The employees here are super friendly and very helpful. My mother once left a bunch of wine she'd bought there and they saved it for her. They have accepted expired coupons from me and I appreciate that very much.
The only thing keeping me from a 5 star rating is they have really raised their prices. It's so high I can't shop there all the time anymore.
Good prices, good selection of organic and gluten free foods. Fresh produce including a local produce section. That was nice to see. The store is clean and easy to navigate.
Shopped at this HT for years, encountered a terrible experience with the older gentleman in the meat department. He was rude and disrespectful, and did not want to cut my Salmon the way I requested it. Tried to throw my meat on the counter when i asked to look at it before he wrapped it. My Sister and I, walked away head to CS they called the Managers we report what happened. They apologized and said they would handle it and made sure we did not have to pay for the Salmon. I wasn’t going to take it, even if it was free, but they insist or maybe a gift card. Based on the reviews this is not the first time this happened to Customers at this Adams Farm Jamestown location. This older gentleman has a Nasty attitude and would not give eye contact to Black customers. Crazy! I will go somewhere else for good Customer Service.
Hey! What is this Harris Teeter doing? Renovations? Entire sections of products are missing. Might want to let people know, with a little sign, or "something", instead of wires and trash on the floor where display cases and racks once stood. Very unprofessional, there whomever manager allowed the store to be open, with customers in it, in the condition I saw it in last time I visited. I understand staffing issues plague all industries, but somethings are pretty inexcusable. It's a food store... Need I say more?
I'll come back and visit again soon. Feel free to respond to this review, and explain yourselves. I will be happy to revise if given logical grounds to do so.
FYI: "Harris Teeter" is my "go to" food store when ever I need to get some groceries. I have been to every single location in the Triad. When I stop at a Harris Teeter I have base line expectations for cleanliness, products being in stock, and moderately high level of customer service. I pay a little more for groceries for these, as well as other, key reasons for favoring a certain chain of stores.
If this was just a "something that can't be helped" situation. I would not say anything. These things CAN be helped.
Bought some ground beef for burgers. When I got home and opened it, the smell was horrible. I returned it and warned the lady to the desk about the smell before opening the bag. Her response was "this is nothing compared to the Crab legs this other customer just brought in".... Well not using this store again for a couple reasons. One is the nonchalant way they approaches someone bringing back rancid meat, I might as well been buying bubble gum. Two is the way they didn't care about broadcasting how many rotten meat products are returned. Lastly is after leaving, driving home and driving back to get the item replaced no apology or offer to take care of the product I was going to have to buy again. They did refund my card for the first purchase at lease.
Have been shopping there for over 20 years and have always loved the cashiers and management there. You can get good deals on sale items, and items on sale rotate very few weeks. However, I am so tired of the employed personal shoppers who try to push you out of the way with their big carts. You know what I don’t care if you are on a time frame to shop and order for a pick up. I am there doing my own shopping on a time frame too! This morning I got trapped near the milk section with carts that came up on either side of me and no way out because there’s small freestanding shelves of food items there blocking a way to exit. The personnel didn’t seem to care not offering to move aside so I could get out. Management, please ask your employed personal shoppers to be much much more respectful of getting out of the way of store shoppers! Please!!! Otherwise it’s neighborhood Walmart all the time for me from now on!
Over all it is a nice place to shop at, except the employee at the butcher shop. So, I went to the store to buy some steaks from the butcher shop, after being served by the employee, I decided to buy some chicken wins as well, and when I asked the employee for chicken wins I heard him smacking his limps and looked bordered. I was also thinking on buying some fish but after I noticed him bordered I decided not to buy anything else. Bad service at butcher shop!
