Went twice during my visit to WDM. The seaweed salad was fantastic. The spicy chicken ramen was good, but the toppings were the best part. I found the pork soup base to be a bit on the bland side, but overall a pretty good dish, and the portion size was huge. I got the spicy crunch crab roll and mountain roll on my second visit, and they were both delicious. The pickled ginger was very fresh as well. OKAY!!! Please allow me to give you real honest feed back, Because WE ALL KNOW IOWA DO NOT HAVE MANY FOOD CHOICES OUT HERE AND IT MAKES ME feel SAD, BUT LET'S GET INTO THE Atmosphere 5 STAR, Service 5 STAR, food 1 STAR. Why? Okay, so my boyfriend and I moved here from North Carolina and Ramen that. Have had there before has had great quality, better tasting noodles, and more flavor, here at Hana I can NOT say the same, The noodles were soggy, not the best quality, but I will say I do like the fresh taste in it, but that's all. Now appetizers, and Martini was great!!!! Restaurant did look great inside. Nice lighting, floors clean, clean bathrooms,and most importantly TABLES WERE NICE and CLEAN 😊🥰😍 NOW LET'S GET INTO PRESENTATION, 5 STAR 😊 AND PLENTY OF PARKING . This restaurant is really well designed and decorated. Our server was fantastic! We had some ramen (I had pork katsu ramen with tonku broth and my wife has charsiu ramen with tonku broth). We came for my mom’s birthday. It was overall a great experience. The food was tasty, food came out timely, and service was attentive but not overwhelming. The tea wasn’t great, but that was our only complaint out of everything. They even brought out my mom a fried ice cream dessert with a candle for her birthday. I would go back! Loved the sushi here. Last time we went I had the mountain roll and ginger salad. Always good. I would love to try the ramen too. More than one sushi and raw fish decorative boats are awesome, although a good bit of money is highly recommended for an occasion or party. I wasn't impressed with the Ramen as some were. Sushi selection is huge and varied. Attentive wait staff. Clean and decent relaxed atmosphere. Absolutely love this place. One of my favorite places to eat out in Des Moines (West Des Moines to be more exact). Their signature ramen is always great, flavorful and plentiful. This was a very good place to go for reasonably priced sushi and friendly staff. Our waitress was accommodating and friendly, our food came fairly quickly and was high quality and fresh.
