This place needs to change their status from "temporary closed" to "by appointment only". I sent a message via their website and was welcomed in for an awesome private tasting! Brian was amazing and set us up with flights of all their big sellers in addition to some secret cherry magic. My buddy and I talked his ear off and had the best time. I left with 8) 4 packs, 4) glasses and a couple openers. I could not help myself, everything was SO DELICIOUS. Top quality cider is rare and this is worth every penny. My first attraction was that I'm a proud Guthrie (maiden name) and us Scots know about drinking. Next time I hope to see more kilts. Absolutely recommend!

I'm not a huge fan of cider but my buddy prefers it to beer so we went to check it out. The owners were there and they're very nice and friendly and very knowledgeable. We each got the $10 flight which is four glasses that are 5oz each. It was a perfect introduction to the dry ciders. I ended up really liking the different ciders and appreciate that they aren't too sweet like the ones you find in the grocery story. Definitely something different and it's a nice cozy little spot. I'll be back.
The owners are such nice wonderful people and are an absolute pleasure to talk with. My husband and I like their dry cider so much that we ordered a keg for our wedding. The guests absolutely loved it! Everyone was asking where we got it! Their ciders are such a refreshing improvement on the typical overly sweet mass produced cider that I am personally not a fan of. If you like your drinks dry then you will love their cider. And if you are in the mood for something a little sweeter, they have a couple of lovely infused options, too.
Wife and I stopped in, after trying their cider at Viewpoint brewing in Del Mar. Great place to stop in after brunch. Run by a husband and wife team. Super friendly folks. Cider is so good!!! Highly recommend if you're looking for a product that's more dry then sweet. Great alternative to the over sweet big box brands you find in the store.

I'm not one for cider usually, but this place we stopped in after work and I was pleasantly surprised. These ciders are not too sweet, very tasty and have a little bit of a punch at over 7%. Definitely a good place to grab a drink on a hot day, so any day in SD. Walk on in and the two owners are very friendly and nice. Will be coming back!!

Small no frills tasting room in the same space used for making their cider. Tasted all 6 of their ciders and really liked their fruitier blends. They are known for drier ciders. Just personal preference. Something for everyone. No food. Friendly informative staff person.
Guthrie CiderWorks is an amazing place! Not only are the ciders ridiculously delicious, but the space and environment is so welcoming, hip, and warm. They have 7 ciders on tap, which can be purchased in glasses, flights, or smaller tasters. (The Rubus Citrus was my FAVORITE). My wife and I hosted a joint graduation celebration there and it turned out so so well. The space can be rented out for parties, events, get-togethers, you name it. It comfortably fits 50+ people, and there are two separate rooms with ample space. Sara is so sweet, professional, and accommodating. In the front room, there are tables provided with games like Jenga, card games, etc. We went ahead and brought our own cornhole game! The main tasting room was also so rad! The lighting, decor, and theming just added to the eclectic warehouse atmosphere of the venue. We were allowed to display a slideshow DVD that was projected on a massive wall, as well as play our own music. A good portion of our guests, as soon as they entered, asked "Where'd you find this place? It's so cool!" There is ample parking also, which is a major plus. I would highly recommend this place to ANYONE and EVERYONE, whether they just want to try cider, or host an event. Thank you Guthrie CiderWorks for an AMAZING and UNFORGETTABLE evening!
Super cool tasting room! Their production area is in the same space as the tasting room so it feels very intimate. The owners are super nice and the cider is outstanding. Highly recommemded!
Very high quality cider. Guthrie had six varieties on tap, each distinctly but not excessively flavored. Definitely a worthwhile addition to the Miramar rotation

Whoa. I have always been a cider fan, and currently am a big time IPA fan. That having beek said, this place is going to disrupt the cider market. The fact that their Truly Dry isn't the industry standard is absurd. Their frutier flavors would be easier to drink agressively during brunch than any mimosa. The C&C and Guthrie Bird have such complex flavor profiles that if you enjoy giving tasting notes, these will be like exciting creative writing assignments. Have you ever gotten super excited to go somewhere and it takes you a while to actually go there? The feeling of a place with this level of anticipation for me completely knocking my socks off and exceeding my expectations will make me a regular over time, regardless of living 20+ miles away in Oceanside. Bravo!!! Can I give 6 stars?
