I have no idea why it has taken me so long to try this place but I went in for my sister's birthday a few weeks ago. We ordered the wood ear mushroom salad, edamame and the Shanghai soup dumplings for appetizers. The mushrooms are reason alone to go back. My entrée was the dry pot chicken which came in a wok lit by sternos underneath and full of dried peppers with a perfect amount of Sichuan peppercorns. My mouth was oscillating between the delicious burn and the tingling and numbing effects of the peppercorns. The other entrées were fantastic. Beef flat noodles with a savory sauce, a mountain of port fried rice, and a delicious pork noodle dish. For dessert, perfectly fried and sugared sweet potato cakes.
