Given that my dad almost certainly didn’t know how to leave a restaurant review, here’s one on his behalf: the staff, food, and overall good vibes at the Grill is absolutely worth the visit. I’ve been going since I was very young but haven’t returned until recently to celebrate my dad’s life, as this was his favorite hangout. And my dad wouldn’t be spending his time here if the people and food weren’t excellent. Thanks for keeping an eye on him, GLG family. Always happy with the food from here. I'm never disappointed. The burritos we recently ordered for take out weren't as good as previous times... A bit bland. However, they were absolutely swamped and still managed to have great customer service. Plus, every other time we've eaten there, it's been amazing. I recommend their burgers and nachos. Home cooking food with very friendly staff and management. Try the onion rings and mushrooms combo for an appetizer. Best if shared with 4 or more people. The shrimp dinner and carrot cake is our favorite. Enjoy Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Very disappointed this evening. I just left the restaurant and I'm in the Arby's Drive thru. The service was fine, but the food was awful. We ordered spinach artichoke dip, and it was so bland and it came with broken tortilla chips (like the bottom of the bag). Then we received our salads, and at least a third of the lettuce was brown and rotting. We still had not complained at this point. Then we received our entrees. My partner got liver it was bland, and the bacon was almost raw and "seemed" to be microwaved. His mashed potatoes were not warm, and the gravy was dripping off the plate. Mine however, I ordered the smothered chicken. It was absolutely appalling. I refused to eat this. It was covered in some kind of coating and it tasted like freezer burnt chicken, which was the ONLY flavor it had. And my veggies were "swimming" in butter. We spoke to the owner and tried to explain the problems with our meal and she is in complete denial. I even apologized for complaining. We weren't rude, we were just unhappy. She did try to offer us something else but I that point, I didn't trust that anything would taste better. We paid for what we ate, and left. And I still left waitress a more than fair tip. You wonder why you're not busy on a Saturday night? Let's just say this place isn't what it was 20 years ago. This was our first time dining here after hearing from friends about their experience. We were absolutely amazed with the quality of food and very friendly staff! Our waitress was super efficient as well as the hostess. Curb appeal was not their strong suit but dont judge a book by its cover! The food and service is 5 🌟 Very clean and nicely decorated. Large selection of homemade food. My husband had the ribs and the meat would fall right off the bone, very tender! I had the shrimp linguini with homemade bread that was very good! Great place to stop in and eat some very good comfort food! We had the artichoke pasta with chicken and the shrimp stuffed mushrooms, very tasty and filling. Our server (Jessica) was also the bartender and hustled around thru the dinner hour with speed and efficiency, great job! We always come here on our way across the bridge. We always forget how huge the portions are. Highly recommend the mushrooms for an appetizer! You get plenty and the ranch is homemade! We had fish dinners with homemade mashed potatoes! Wished we lived closer Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Everyone raved about their fish so we decided to try it out Friday night. The place was very busy but staff did a great job for being short handed. Food was good and the portions are definitely worth the money. The onion rings are the best we've had in a long time. We went back Saturday to try something else and the BLT was amazing. Great food Great prices Fantastic people Not only have we dined at the restaurant, we also had the pleasure of working with the staff and owner at an event they catered. I own a mobile bartending service and eat catered event meals 4+ times a week. We have all had the dry chicken at a wedding but only a few of us have had the moist, tender, and delicious chicken from Great Lakes Grill. The food was hot, cooked to perfection, FLAVORFUL and most importantly DELICIOUS. The staff was wonderful to work with and the owner Shari is a delight to know. If you are ever in Cheboygan, MI or even near by, make it a point to take a meal with these fine folks, your mouth and your wallet will thank you. I think I have discovered one of Michigan's Best Restaurants. There's so much love put in this place. The owner, Sherie, loves what she does and it shows. The food is amazing! They make everything in house! From bread to croutons, to dressings to hand cut lettuce! The pasta was excellent, the fish was perfect. The servers were wonderful. I can't wait to be back!
