This place has the best Chinese food I have ever and possibly will ever have. They only do carry out, but they are great at getting the order right and any alterations correct.

I won't eat Chinese anywhere else. Always fresh. They even ask if you want white or dark meat. Customer for life.

The food at this location has always been good, but seems to have improved in the past few years. Pleasant folks at the register (this matters to me) and the wait was minimal.

Giving 3 stars because they really like to use broccoli as "filler" to save cost.. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken last time and it was almost half filled with broccoli. That is an obscene amount of broccoli. So this time I asked for no broccoli and the lady says "ok no broccoli extra chicken" whatever that means.. I get there and find they charged me $1 extra to remove the broccoli! Absurd.. I'd skip the kung pao unless you like it to be half brocolli.
Other than this, the food is fine.

If you are looking for the best General Tso’s in baltimore (city and county), look no further! This is it. Get the white meat, it’s delicious, big chunks of chicken and the flavor is amazing. Make sure to stir it up when you get home, most of the sauce is on the bottom.

Ordered the General Tsos chicken (white meat) with pork fried rice and wanton soup on the Lunch menu. To get the bad news out of the way first: the pork fried rice was sub-standard...not a sliver of pork throughout so the rice on its own would be very disappointing. However, the good news is that the chicken makes up for the rice. Compared to many others, the coating wasn't the dominant part: the coating was just right. The meat was cooked properly and the sauce was flavorful. Also the portion I was given could have been enough to satisfy two. The soup was better than average: the wantons enclosed a fair amount of white meat and there were some chunks in the broth as well.I'd definitely give this place another visit.
Yesterday we ordered dinner from Golden House. We've been eating there for the past four years so when I ate my order of Kung Pao Chicken ( medium spice ) and it was extra bland, no spice, with hardly any chicken and tons of peanuts I was very disappointed but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt....maybe they had a new cook, or were under-staffed, etc. I called them, since there is no other type of contact info on their website, to let them know about the issue with the Kung Pao Chicken and also the stale wonton strips. I also let them know that I wasn't calling to get my money back but just wanted them to be aware of the unsatisfactory food. I never write bad reviews but I just wanted to make people aware that to add insult to injury the person on the phone didn't seem to care, didn't apologize and coldly said she would tell her boss and hung up on me. WOW. This is why I'm giving them a one star review. In these tough times my family and I have been making an extra effort to support our local businesses especially restaurants but after this awful customer service experience we will be taking our business elsewhere. So sad.
The attached picture shows the take out box after I threw out most of the peanuts and still couldn't find hardly any chicken...there was a ton of peanuts underneath this layer as well and still hardly any chicken but I did find 4 broccoli. It all literally tasted like pure peanut :(
