Absolutely horrible went on a Sunday with my kids for the dinner buffet and it was the worst. I actually do feel bad leaving this review too because we used to frequent this golden coral regularly and it was always soo clean and the staff soo attentive and nice, that was not this experience. Upon arrival I had to remove all the cups from the cup holder and give them to the employee because they we all dirty and not just water spots literal food stuck inside all of them so I decided to use the to go cups since there were no clean cups when we got to the counter the cashier told me I had to pay an extra $1 for each to go cup when I told her I had no choice but to use these she said she had to charge me for them and that they will bring clean cups out. I attempted to have the charge removed since it was their fault but she refused, I paid the price and proceeded to find a table. It was dinner so well after 7pm when going to the food stations looking at the labels they still had everything labeled from breakfast so didn't even swap them over to identify the dinner dishes and the salad bar area was filthy it was obvious no one had wiped anything down for a while. They had a steak grilling station and I know I wasn't expecting gourmet but if they ask how you want it cooked get it close.....we asked medium rare and got inedible raw and don't get me wrong I will eat a good rare steak but this was bad. The ice cream machine was horrendous worse than McDonald's one side worked one didn't the side that did was more ice than cream and in the catch tray they had a metal prep container that ice cream and trash had been dropped into and the whole time we were there no one ever cleaned it out. There was just such a lack of care on the employees part that made it very concerning. It's sad to say but we will not be returning and this WAS my kids favorite place. We just left this place. Came in for brunch. Walked in to a packed place with no food. All the trays were empty. Empty. People waiting around the buffet for food. I asked to speak to someone about it and was told there is no manager on Sundays and that they won’t come in, to help with understaffing or complaints. I was told I couldn’t get a full refund either because I had been there for 30 minutes (waiting for food). Finally the lady decided to give me my money back because other people started to come up to complain as well.

I had dinner there last night with my entire family of 14, the food was amazing, our favorite part was the desserts! The service was amazing, Sarah was very friendly the entire time, she offered us coffee with our dessert. I recommend the place 100%. All the meat and veggie options hit the spot after a day trip to Ortega Falls. Clean. Good layout. Great service all around. Great price point. Friendly, quiet patrons. Will def dine again in GC when we have a craving for meat buffet. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
