This gelato is the real Sicilian dessert. The owners, Katia and Giovanni are Palermo Sicily They have brought their traditional family specialty recipes to St. John. Amazing gelato! The best I've ever had! The flavors are superb and vibrantly alive. Owners are super friendly and welcoming. The art is beautiful too! I would definitely stop here (multiple times) while on the island. Well worth a visit. Service Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Born and raised in Italy...after a week of local food and drinks I was craving a nice Italian coffee and gelato. I walked 15 minutes under the sun to get to Giovanni's... But it was well worth it! I combined my two cravings into an affogato which was perfect! Very nice atmosphere in this small cafe/gelateria with art by Katia the owner's wife. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet Giovanni.... But we got excellent and friendly service by Troy. I wish they had a booth close(r) to the beach and I would definitely suggest they kept their place open later in the warm St John's nights. Flavors change daily! No matter what you try you will like the creamy and comforting flavors. I had cinnamon & hazelnut 10/10. Gelato made daily in house. Giovanni is super knowledgeable about coffee and passionate about making desserts! I enjoyed my Cappuccino! Rare to find a cafe that makes it right on St John. Most of them just served it with extremely hot steam milk. This place makes perfect Cappuccino ❤️My boy loves his Hot Chocolate and desserts! Love Giovanni Gelato & coffee shop! They have the BEST ice cream on St. John. I had the hazelnut and mango in a waffle cone! I will be back. The service is impeccable, welcoming and warm. I highly recommend stopping by and grabbing yourself some gelato during your stay! You will create some joyful memories for you and your family 10/10
