Love Giant ..great prices ..produce always fresh .as is fish and meats .. larg selection .bakery is wonderful especially fresh donuts muffins bread .their sourdough can't be beat for flavor .some giants have done away with make your own salads that was a bad choice.. also love their olive bar.
I just want to know, did you get rid of the black women in customer service. She is about 50 plus . Such a mean,rude, unfriendly person to have. She has been there a long time and I know customers have a lot of complaints about her. (Which may not be reported) Over the years, I've bumped into customer's at the service desk. They said a few words about her to me and hope she is never at the desk or they opt to go to another service worker.I dont know her name. I dont think it's too hard for you to figure it out. Like I said, she has been there a long time, and I know you are aware of it. So, I blame the leadership of Giant and hold you responsible. So obvious you dont care about good customer service(is it because she is black)I have moved away, thank God. She has left such a bad impression on me. I should have put this post in years ago. I don't know if this post is going to corporate, I hope so. But please take this seriously. Giant is always my store I go to. I like the bonus deals . But please work on customer service. I've been in this field for 33years. I SHOP at the Giant in newport which is to small and runs out a lot of items and does not have all the items some Giants have and is behind the times. Please expand or move. Thank you
I just went thru self checkout and the African American gentleman, WAS USELESS.. first of all the single carrots are not on the price list.. he never help getting the right code for it. Ran it as organic bunch.. 2.79 for a single carrot… he has to keep coming back because he didn’t clear the computer right.. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!
I had a terrible experience through GIANT direct today. This is unfortunate as I usually shop there every week and have been satisfied so far. But after the rude behavior tonight by staff and a manager, I will really need to think before ever returning again.
Me and my mother and family use to love ahopping here but this is now 4 times that the staff was down right ignorant to my mother. My mom is partially deaf and she talks louder as a result of that and time and time again she is told to shut up and she being to loud and stuff by staff members. Dispite many people telling them and also having card evidence and etc they don't care they still continue to do it it is really ridiculous. What happens if someone has a child do they expect them to be quiet its not right at at all. I'll take my services elsewhere.
Even though I occasionally run into problems with the promotions for coupons, I always find the staff at Giant to be helpful. Many of them will go out of their way to correct an issue find a product or explain the coupons offered. Anytime I do have a challenge with what I think I should have earned in points for purchases, the customer service area is always gracious and willing to work with me. I also appreciate that the Giant in Linglestown is kept clean and neat both inside the store and outside. I do not do all my grocery shopping at Giant, but when I can't find something somewhere else, I know I can usually find it at Giant. Proximity orientation to my home well as availability have products keep me going to giant. Their staff friendliness reassures me that I will get the help I need.
Very disappointed that Giant took the bold printing bonus saving off your receipts. Example: If I saved $4.89 at that visit at Giant's I would put $5.00 in a can. You would be surprised that's a good way of savings. No one at corporate office can tell me why they took that off the receipt.
This is a really nice grocery store for the area. They have lots of amenities and lots of fresh food choices. I like the joke that they have a mini food court inside the grocery store. The Asian food is cooked to order and the pizzas are always hot and fresh. The grocery stores prices are comparable to all the other stores in the area so it’s the other departments that make this place stand out. The only downside to this place is that on my recent trip most of the soups were empty, but it was during the lunchtime rush on a cold day. Normally this place would get five stars but I happen to visit on a very busy day. Stop by and enjoy all that has to offer.
Store is clean and well stocked. Decent cheese section. They also have a large Kosher section at this location. Prices are a little steep for some things but for the most part they're close or equal or similar stores
The second shift manager is extremely patient and the associates generally want to make the place neat out of respect and you can tell. She is the Georgous one there at closing waiting for me to finally leave. Gives me butterflies wanting to ask and not having the nerve to do it. Good God I want to and just to avoid being turned down. Just a movie? Someone whisper in her ear that I want her to drive the car because I know she is 110mph on 81 and I love it!!!
