We stopped in for an early dinner. The staff was so nice. My husband orders the cod with shrimp and clams. I ordered the cod with 3 shrimp. The coleslaw was delicious. The fish was very good, and the shrimp had a great coating. We orders ablavkberry turnover. I was so full, so I didn't order the funnel fries. I will get those next time. They had clam chowder in a bread bowl. They have a great selection of food and a kids menu. We like that they offer a military discount. When we were leaving, they asked if we wanted to refill our drinks. We can't wait to go back. The staff is so helpful, we had clam chowder and fried prawns with chips and it was very good. Big meaty prawns were just right. I love the crushed ice and coke. It was cold were we sat but we stayed for funnel cake frys and a black berry turnover they were amazing. First time experience. Cod was small pieces with no flavor, waffle fries had no salt and were soggy soft. Tartar sauce has a strong pickle taste and the clam chowder was with very little substance. Love their cod. Served hot from the fryer. Purchased the clam chowder soup. With a little salt and pepper it was delicious. The star of the show is their dessert pies. My wife loves the blackberry and I love the apple. If you don’t stop for dinner, you should stop for a pie. Think of the pies McDonalds used to have before they went all tasteless and baked. Try the pies here! Outstanding doesn’t not fully capture the deliciousness awaiting you in a flaky crust! Food was good, owner was accommodating and friendly, but the restaurant itself needs some work. The bathrooms are a joke. I personally asked how things are doing and he mentioned how busy they are despite the economy: so you have the loyal customers which is great, but you need to make it nicer to attract new ones. First time here and the owner was very helpful in explaining the history of the restaurant. The food was delicious, hot and plentiful. The service was outstanding, the facility was very clean and welcoming Thank you for a wonderful evening and we will be returning for a delicious meal.
