Old school pub feel to atmosphere, dark wood walls, wood floors. Service was good, but as the restaurant filled up, the servers seemed a little taxed. Food was good-sized portions and hearty. Pickle chips are spears, breaded lightly and fried crisp. Shepherd pie was cooked well, savory and a good ratio of meat and potatoes and seasonings. Absolutely delicious Jerk Chicken Salad. It brought together delightful and complex flavors of Caribbean seasonings, mandarin slices, red onion, over a fresh bed of salad greens. The Atmosphere was warm and full. Despite being abundant, attentive, and friendly, the staff seemed overwhelmed to the point of being ineffective. Thursday evening dinner and drinks. We chose to sit in the bar area with self seating. Service was excellent and drinks were great! Pot roast and shepherds pie were excellent. Really good food, decent service, but minus one star for the cheap, petty way that they add 3% to your check to enable you to pay $150+ for shepherd's pie.
