L'emplacement sur le port de Balestrand est parfait, l'accueil fait ce qu'il peut mais la cuisine est très médiocre. Dans le fish and chips, seules les chips sont mangeables. Les crevettes présentées comme "fraîches" sont en fait à peine décongelées et toutes molles. N'y aller que pour boire un verre dans un site très agréable mais pas pour manger. The restaurant is overlooking a scenic landscape of fjord with lush green hills and mountains. Sitting outside on a table transports you to a heavenly place you can only dream about. Huh, surprised by high ratings. Very causal vibe. I had the fish & chips, which was below average (frozen fries, dish batter a bit soggy). It’s a bit more self-service (order & pay at counter), but that seems to be common in this region. The view from outdoor tables is lovely. Cappuccino was ok but rather expensive, a small soft ice is so big, we could hardly finish it! A nice place to shelter from the rain. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

This was the only restaurant open on the sunday evening when we reached Balestrand & we were pleased enough by the good food & caring staff that we repeated our meals here during our stay . Even if the display or menu mentions limited food items, do not hesitate to ask them if they can accommodate any special requests. The staff, special mention for “Hadwan” (not sure if he was the owner), went over & beyond and served delicious food as we wanted vegetarian options! Surprisingly, the prices are also very reasonable as compared to Norwegian standards! Right on the pier, it’s a Family friendly place with great outdoor seating & fun activities like catching fish, crabs etc from a small tank! Recommended 100%!! Wonderful! Had the bacalao, fish soup, and shrimp tempura. All great. Incredible view, particularly so from the amazing elevated boat table. Very friendly. Clean bathroom. Highly recommend!! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
