A perfect little eatery on the island. Great menu, efficient staff, and a cozy little spot on a small beach to eat and meet other travelers. Some of the absolute best lobster bisque I've ever had! Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Lobster Roll
Pricey, as is everything on the island, but the food overall is quite good. We had fish tacos, shrimp tacos, lobster, and a lobster roll across two visits and they were all very good. Wait can be a little long at times, but nothing too unreasonable. Staff was helpful and hospitable. Would recommend stopping in for sure. Atmosphere is rustic but nice views of the harbor on the picnic tables and chairs. Food here is always awesome. Great place to order a meal, pick up some fresh fish, or arrange for a lobster dinner. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch
Best fish tacos ever. Truly amazing. My niece loved her fish sandwich. Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20
Ordered crab tacos. Served on a street taco that was about 4 inches in diameter the kind you get at the supermarket in a bag of 30. Some shredded crab meat with a spicy sauce. You get two for about $20. Not worth it. My wife couldn’t eat hers. The young woman who brought them to our picnic table was nice, but the woman who took our order was rather nonchalant and non-caring. She didn’t tell us where napkins and utensils where; we had to find the ourselves. I guess she thought we were there many times and knew our way around. Since my wife did not like the tacos, we got a calamari salad. It was served in a small plastic bowl which couldn’t have been more than 3/4 of a cup. It cost $6. Luckily we knew where the forks were this time. A lot of people were telling us this was a great place for what is offered on this rather spartan island, but not by us. Maybe we ordered the wrong food or got there at the wrong time.
Must stop place for seafood on the island. Shrimp tacos were surprisingly first rate (prefer fish tacos usually). Right on the beach, take-out only but outdoor picnic tables or just sit on the sand.
After hiking ~4 miles around the entirety of Monhegan's shores, a hot fish sandwich from the Fish House was just about the most delicious thing I have ever eaten. The fish itself is hand-breaded and came in a sizeable portion. The bun and sauce were divine. This place is a "must visit" whenever you make the trip to Monhegan.

Insanely good fish sandwich. The lobster bisque was the MVP and the clam chowder was the best I've had in years 🙏🏽

Tiny, no fuss - one of those places one may refer to as a 'hole in the wall' but in the best way. Step in and place your order for fresh, tasty, traditional Maine treats; step outside and sit at a picnic table or make yourself comfortable along the shore. I visit each time I'm in the area!

Love all the fresh seafood.. ! Eating outside only but you are on the beach. Went many times. Cesar salad with shrimp was my favorite..
