It's great to try Mexican cuisine. You will try nicely cooked chicken, chicken fajitas and salsa & chips. Good margaritas are served at this restaurant. Enjoy delicious tea. El Vaquero is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. The motto of this place is affordable prices for delicious meals. It's usually a good idea to experience something new and enjoy the pretty atmosphere. Google gives it 4.4 so you can choose this spot to spend a good time here.

It started off disappointing with a sticky table. You move the salt or pepper and you felt that sticky resistance on the table. I received my cheese dip and it was barely warm. My food came out and it was also barely warm. The rice was disappointing. The chicken and cheese quesadillas were disappointing. But what was worse was when I opened my napkin and my knife had something in it. My silverware wasn't even clean. Overall just not a good experience at all. I remember now why I had given El Vaquero a break. It is not the same it once was! I had given up on it until tonight when my co-workers and I went and ate here after we found out Texas Roadhouse had an exorbitant wait. The waitress was kind but she didn't really pay attention or give any detail to what we had asked for. So my meal had to be remade. And my coworker was missing things she asked for as well. No big deal, we got what we needed. But literally 5 or ten minutes after we got our food we had been checked on 4 times. The fifth time is when I started to sense that we were definitely being rushed. I started to already become irritated, because if you don't want my business say so. Don't try to rush me out for whatever reason. But then...the host comes over and says "Hey are you guys ready for your checks, I'll go grab them" then she rushes off all good still. It's when she comes back about 3 minutes later (and Mind you I'm a very observant person I always have been , in addition to being a server many years ago) I noticed they had not checked on the other 4 tables around us at all so at this point I'm very aggravated and brought it to the hosts attention, she denied doing so but how come both of you literally kept bombarding our table like that! I can't ever return this is just bad business especially with my previous experience at the stadium drive location. The food was good though as always. This is a great place for a very large group or an individual dining. The food is great! Don't be affraid to ask about certian menu items you may be unfimiure with. The menu is vast and full of very good traditional food. There is options for picky kids who just like plain food. The service is fast and polite. It's usually busy at night. Most of the time, I usually don't wait for a table, just walk in and be seated by the host/hostess. The food is always at perfect temperatures and the serves are quick. Service Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
First, this is a really good size facility. We dined on a Friday evening @5. With 8 in our group, seated comfortably. There were several other tables with as many. Server was timely. Orders correct and tasty. Also, pleased the check arrived shortly after we completed our meals . $117 (w/3 draft beers). We were able to pay and open our table up for awaiting diners. My visit to El Vaquero Mexican Restaurant was nothing short of a gastronomic journey. The standout dish of the evening was undoubtedly the pineapple shrimp bowl. Each succulent shrimp was cooked to perfection, and the addition of pineapple added a delightful twist to the flavors. It was a harmonious blend of sweet and savory that left my taste buds craving for more. What truly sets El Vaquero apart, however, is its exceptional staff. From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming demeanor of the employees made me feel like a valued guest. They were not only knowledgeable about the menu but also eager to offer recommendations, ensuring that every aspect of my dining experience was top-notch. Moreover, I couldn't help but notice the impeccable cleanliness of the restaurant. The tables were spotless, and the overall hygiene standards were impressively high. It's clear that El Vaquero places a strong emphasis on maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for its patrons. All in all, El Vaquero Mexican Restaurant is a hidden gem that combines delectable cuisine, outstanding service, and a commitment to cleanliness. It's the kind of place that leaves a lasting impression and keeps you coming back for more. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an unforgettable dining experience. I know that a lot of people have mixed reviews about this place but I love the certain dishes that they make. I don’t live in Columbus but I try to stop by whenever I visit. I do feel like some of the staff could be friendlier, but I guess everyone is entitled to have an off day some time. It’s plenty of seating and the food is always fresh and fast. Taco are good to me because they are not afraid to put cheese on it. I like my tacos served with only meat and cheese. And they fill the tacos up with both meat and cheese. Furthermore, it's Sunday and we are eating off the lunch menu!! And the service is fast, simple without the BS. However, the beef burrito always taste better the next day.

Nice restaurant with exceptional service. The food was okay, but I'm from Oklahoma so the Mexican food I prefer is more Tex-Mex and spicy. Still, nothing wrong with this at all. Also sopapillas here are what I know as tostadas but they were still pretty good. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

First time here. Seems to be pretty busy after church but still had fast service. I'm very picky about my Mexican American Restaurants as my favorite is in NC but this one was good! Cheese dip and chips was delicious. Had cheese dip, fajita taco salad, Cancun burrito and 2 waters, $34. This place is a bit different in the fact that from what I can see, most dishes don't come with rice and beans and you have to order them separate but I don't mind cuz I had more room for my taco salad...lol. Overall good was good, good customer service and I would definitely come back! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50
