Bright and cheerful with authentic atmosphere and music. Free chips and salsa were bland. Salsa was tomato sauce with a little cilantro. No spices. Hot sauce is available by request. I ordered the lunch Fajitas which were good, with a large portion. My wife ordered a salad (has a California beach in the name) and was disappointed. She drained about a cup of water out of the bowl. This is your standard Mexican place with the basic dishes you would expect from such. They can accommodate large parties and even though they were busy, we got a seat right away. The food is decent and non-offensive to the picky eaters (and rather bland for those of us that like more exciting flavors) in your group. We tried a couple of chicken dishes and the chicken was pretty dry and overcooked. But the pork dish was really good. Parking is easy and close. It would have been better had they turned the heat on!!! They had a very small electric Franklin Stove in a 20x40 room. I was at a hockey game beforehand and was dressed for cool arena, but it was still cold! I wasn’t impressed… unfortunately. Used to be a go to place for my husband and I and we went Friday night 11/17 and my husband was sick to his stomach all day Saturday and I have been sick all night now Saturday into Sunday 11/18 & 11/19. Food was okay.. slapped together.. came out WAY after my husband got his plate, our waitress only checked on us 1 time after WE brought up a refill on water to the gentleman that gave us our plates. I understand short staffing but she passed our table multiple times with no service. We had to track her down to get our food order put in. Like I said it’s unfortunate and it may have just been us and not them… but I definitely won’t be going back and definitely won’t be recommending them anymore.
