Wasn’t in here long but the two guys working were really understaffed and kept a smile on their face and tried their best and had a good attitude. Place is seriously busy with only two people working. Kudos to these guys! 3/5/24
A great spot to meet up with friends before hitting up one of the two nearby theaters.
Come here, get a pitcher of beer to share, and some burgers to keep you full. Proceed to walk to the theater and enjoy. The Hawaiian rolls are a nice touch.
Would go back for a casual meet-up. I think it's a good addition to the area.

Jaime took care of me at the Silver Spring location. I came in for breakfast and I loved the breakfast burrito. It was a huge portion, reasonably priced, and the ordering system was casual and low key. I loved being able to put on my headphones and hangout and honestly really enjoyed the “doghaus tv” that had extreme sports like bouldering, white water kayaking, etc. I would totally come back.

Been doing take out and dine in here for a couple years. More take out than dine in. Dine in last night. Bartenders were attentive, food came out quick and hot and the food runner was friendly and responsive. The hawaiin rolls are unique and I like them but a little much if you want more than one hot dog. I'd order from here more if they had a regular roll option.

I came into this bar with no expectations. I don’t mean to imply that I thought doghaus was a bad establishment, I just hadn’t been here yet.
When I walked in, I was greeted by Edwin, the bartender. I was originally thinking of a table, but he was so friendly and he knew about all of the beers that they had on tap.
So I decided to sit at the bar.
I had the best night of my recent memory thanks to Edwin. I enjoyed local beers and great sausages.
Thank you, Edwin! I hope you see this and get some kind of award!

I got caught in the rain a while back so I popped in for a bite and a beer. The place is clean and service was fast and friendly, but I felt nickel and dimed. Pricing isn't clear because they do surge pricing - yes, like how uber has higher fares on holidays! The exact same burrito or burger costs you $3 to $5 more during weekend/busy hours. Everything tasted fine but it felt more like fast food in terms of quality, and the decor was soullessly corporate.
Applying surge pricing to every facet of American life sounds like a capitalist hellscape nightmare to live in. If you're looking for a great beer selection and unique burgers I recommend Quarry House just a couple blocks away. Heck, even Burgerfi is better if you just want a decent burger and fresh cut fries.
Pros:
-Nice local beer selection with 24 drafts on tap (they do call themselves a bier garden after all!)
-Clean restaurant and convenient walkable location
-Fast service and friendly staff. Food served piping hot
-Good vegetarian options with lots of variety
-They have happy hour specials if you're looking for a light bite.
-The slider and fries portion was a decent size and well cooked with tasty toppings and bun. I got the slider with American cheese and caramelized onions.
-24/7 delivery as of 2024. This neighborhood desperately needs late night food options!
Cons:
-Surge pricing on food gives me the ick, seems inherently unfair, and potentially predatory. At least uber drivers benefit from surge rates, they make more money working during those busy periods. Dynamic pricing in restaurants is just pure profit for owners and gouges customers; employees make the same hourly rate regardless. Hard pass.
-The fries and tots are definitely frozen (I emailed corporate to ask. They said it's to "ensure quality" across locations.) The promotional images show fresh cut fries so I was expecting more. For frozen food this place is too expensive. Burgerfi has fresh cut fries for about the same price.
-The meat itself was bland. It tastes like fast food quality.
-If you order online for pick up, make sure to order from their website and not a 3rd party service to avoid even more upcharges. Also check at different times of day and days of the week to see about surge pricing. (I noticed the dynamic pricing on Grubhub specifically.)

Simon is a super attentive bartender! The chicken fingers are SO good. Recommend the chipotle honey! If you want a good spot to watch sports this is a good spot in downtown silver spring!
