My friend and I were driving around town looking for something to eat when we caught glimpse of an unsuspecting pizza shop. With our bellies growling we decided to give it a shot. When we stepped inside, we were greeted by a rather distinguished gentleman, contrary to his rugged looks. We ordered the deluxe family sharing platter with a half and half Mexicana and Primavera pie; the total coming out to be around $40. When we received our food, we were shocked and wondered if we had received the wrong order as the amount of food he handed to us seemed to be enough to feed 4 whole people. But no, it was in fact our order and so we made our way to the park nearby to have our delectable dinner. The sides were hot and crisp and the pizza is the best one I've had in New Zealand so far. If you've made it this far into the review, PLEASE give this shop a try. I promise you won't be disappointed. Delicious packed full of flavour pizzas with a good thin crust just as I love them to be! Sides well worth enjoying as part of the experience & I highly recommend the garlic 'bread', mozzarella sticks & the very delicious & spicy jalapeno poppers!! I was so looking forward to this pizza. I have been wanting to try this place for ages. As a coeliac I am always looking for great places to have ‘comfort food’ that is gluten free. Unfortunately, the GF base was not good. I wanted it to be, but it wasn’t. My husband however had the ‘muggle’ (non-GF) pizza and he loved it. Said the pizza was delicious the calzone yum and the fries (which I did eat) were perfect. Just need to work on the GF base. It was like cardboard. by the way, the owner/cook was wonderful: he was friendly and nice a real great guy! Grateful for the recommendation. Outstanding service and pizza. Phoned ahead and the owner/manager stayed open for an extra 10min for us. Chose the chocolate brownie dessert pizza. Tasty pizzas full of flavour! Generous amount of toppings on the pizza and plenty to choose from! Had the abricot chicken and also tried my husband and daughters pizzas. Really enjoyed the chat while waiting for the pizza 😊

It was our first time and we got the $35 meal deal, excellent pizza, great chips, the calzone and garlic bread both really good, and the owner is a very nice guy. 5 stars all round from us, we are instant regulars.
