A solid 4 stars. We were seated immediately without reservation. We ordered two chicken dishes with garlic Nan. Food was served quite fast and the service was amazing. Vegetarian options are available, and you can customize the spiciness according to your taste. Also, found an Indian beer which was surprisingly good. Very tasty food at reasonable prices. The sevice was very good, and we felt very welcome. Be aware that they unfortunately only take Norwegian cards (no foreign VISA, no Mastercard, no mobile payments etc.) or cash. There is an ATM next door, but it is not always working.

My favorite Indian restaurants in Oslo have nothing on Desi Zaiqa! What a privilege to have this gem in our town, but certainly worth coming to Ås for if you’re not local. I’m still dreaming of the palak paneer, but we enjoyed everything we ordered. I can’t wait to go back! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

Fantastic food! I had been wanting to try this place since I saw them move into Rådhusplassen, and they did not disappoint. Although, if you aren't dining in, I would recommend calling to order rather than ordering through the website because the website has not worked for me. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

The food here was not impressive, and was quite expensive. The Butter Chicken sauce was thin and watery, and did not have the characteristic velvety softness that butter chicken should have. I ordered it madras (very spicy), but found it disappointingly mild. The garlic naan had a nice flavor, but was almost certainly not made in a tandoori clay pot, or over any kind of fire. It lacked the char and smoke you'd expect from a naan this expensive. The samosa was simply disappointing. It felt like something that had been in the freezer for a while. The flavor of the filling was great, but the bread felt stale and dry to the point of being painful to bite into, and completely ruined the samosa for me. Service Take out Meal type Dinner

desi zaiqa is the best place in town if you want to eat somthing indian in Ås, it has the best naan(Indian breadbread) my recomendation try garlic naan, the have very nice service also the ambience is very awesome, you have bollywood songs playing, you have the restaurent management team speaking hindi, felt like home here, just like in a resstaurant somewhere in india.
