My 7yo son and I wanted to enjoy a little spooky fun on Friday evening, so I booked us the ghost walk tour. We arrived at the town square early and had dinner at Bourbon Street Grille (big yum btw!). Then it was on to the tour! When we got there, it turned out we were the only folks there for the tour that night. The guide was so nice and welcoming, and let us have a look around their very cool and spooky office area. My son, being 7, wasn’t too interested in the history part at the beginning, but the guide was totally prepared for this. She brought out some cool magnetic building shapes and let him play with those while she talked through the beginning portion of the town history with me in the office. After that we hit the street for the walking part of the tour. It was a pretty easy walk. We took a leisurely pace and stopped frequently at different locations to hear the history and ghost stories associated with them. Our guide was a wealth of information and was happy to answer any questions we had along the way. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and learned about some of the other local attractions (the gold mines, gold museum) that we are definitely going to have to make another trip up here to visit. I loved the fact that the stories we heard on this tour were actual accounts of real experiences that people living and working in the town have had. So many ‘ghost tours’ just have mostly made-up or highly embellished stories purely to entertain thrill seekers. This was so much better. It is absolutely worth the drive to come check out this tour! I’ll be going again for sure, and bringing friends the next time!

The tour was exciting and very interesting. Penny was a wonderful tour guide and was very knowledgeable on the history of Dahlonega ! We will definitely be back!
Went on the ghost walking tour tonight with Penny and it was amazing! Great history and stories were told. Recommend 100%!
Our 9yr old enjoys haunted stories, ghosts, and seeing haunted places. My husband enjoys history and is always game to go on all my spontaneous adventures. After making sure it was a kid friendly event I signed up for the 8pm walking tour. We had a great time with Penny. The tour exceeded my expectations. She provided a plathora of information about the history of Dahlonega along with the history of haunted locations. The information was nicely paired with modern day accounts of paranormal activity. I knew it was going to be a late night for my little one however he stayed engaged all the way up until about 20min before the end (which I expected). Penny was patient while answering all his questions along the way. I loved this tour we all had the best time

We really enjoyed this walking tour! Penny was so knowledgeable and fun to talk to. I loved the amount of history that was included in the tour, too. The ghost stories even more interesting with the historical context. I'd definitely recommend this tour!

There’s a tasting room, Grapes & Ghosts, at this location! Ahhhh-mazing! Miss Penny is super knowledgeable and hasn’t steered me wrong yet. Tasting is super affordable (4/$10 not the pic cost) ANNNNND you can create your own tasting (can’t do that at other wine tastings)! Walked away with 2 more wines: GA on My Mind and Chattanooga Blush! 🥰
My wife and I loved the "Grapes and Ghosts" tour. What better way to experience Dahlonega than by sharing ghost stories and slinging back some Georgia wine! Penny was an amazing host and tour guide. Highly recommend this tour! I'd be scared of the ghosts tonight if I didn't drink enough wine to be floatin' around accidental like on a breeze. 🍷 ☠️ 💤
The wine and ghost tours was AMAZING!! So many fun stories, and Penny clearly knew a lot about the town and all the little stories that made the experience great. And the wine was a great bonus

Somehow on a Friday night we ended up with a private ghost walking tour with Penny. She was incredibly knowledgeable and clearly had a love for the Dahlonega. We appreciate the time she took with us and all of the suggestions she gave for the remainder of the trip. We had never been to Dahlonega before and were only passing through to our final destination. After our experience with Penny we would go back just for her!

Went on a Girls Night Out. Jeremy was an interesting guide with great stories who engaged the group well. He asked us questions, made sure everyone was keeping up, and encouraged us to ask questions of him. Would do the tour again when I have out of town family come to visit.
