John the Greek. Gyro King. You no longer need to wait until the (ugh) Bloomsburg Fair to get a good gyro, that you don't have to sacrifice your first born on the Acropolis for! Unlike the aforementioned, there's a variety here; my head is spun, but I've tried MOST of what is on the menu, but all phenomenal. For all I know, not speaking anything remotely Balkan (I understand a little bit of Church Slavonic and some choice Ukrainian) they might be serving the same thing. I doubt it. The cabbage salad speaks volumes; I will come back for this, and I'll get something else. I will fight you over this place. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30

The market is small but still has a nice variety of European goodies! The staff is very friendly and attentive but what I like the most are the authentic Balkan specialties which you can't find anywhere around here. Everything we tried was made to perfection. Pljeskavica, ćevapčići, čvarci, goulash, Italian arancini, smoked sausage, bacon...yum, yum, yum! Be aware: portions are huge! My 1st time placing an order with them for my Mom's 83rd Birthday and I wanted to get her something totally different than flowers and I know how much she loves these cookies that one of her friends use to make. They were absolutely delicious whoever was writing to me online was fast to respond even with my short notice. My husband and will definitely be back to try many more of their other foods they make there. The man the waited on us he was an absolute pleasure and we enjoyed talking to him.I highly recommend trying them out you won't be disappointed. This place smells amazing and it’s so clean and such a cozy atmosphere! They have such a large variety of different products and foods from the Balkan culture. 10/10 I highly recommend! We highly recommend D&G Balkan Cafe! A very cozy place with a nice variety of Eastern European products. We especially really liked their authentic homemade food and desserts. Their stuffed peppers and plum butter cookies are excellent! Quick stop off of I-81 which is very convenient.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the Hazleton area. Hands down some of the best food in NEPA, with a great selection of dishes whose names I've never been able to pronounce, but which taste like happiness itself. The owners are wonderful people who are always a pleasure to talk to. In addition to the menu items, D&G offers dry and canned goods, refrigerated items such as cheeses and kefir, and take-and-bake phyllo dough pies. Best of all is the selection of fresh baked breads, rolls, and desserts. I haven't had a meal yet that I haven't loved. Give them a try, you will be glad you did!
