I never like leaving bad reviews but my extremely delayed takeout experience at Colonial Kitchen warranted this. I was hosting an event and put in an order 2 days before my event to make sure the restaurant knew beforehand. I received a phone call the day before my event letting me know that my order was confirmed. Great! Everything seemed to be running smoothly. On the day of my event, I called to see if I could adjust my pick up time 30 minutes earlier or if I could dine in at the time I put instead of picking up. I was told that both options were not possible; I could understand as this was a last minute request. I went to pick up my order at the time I had requested and the order was not ready. I waited for 45 minutes before my order was brought out. No explanations or apologies were given. The delay completely derailed my event. I make it a point to support local businesses and I understand that delays happen but the lack of communication and the fact that my order was 45 minutes late highlights the lack of customer service.
