Wow! What a gem! Previously we had only been to the area for quick errands. We finally stayed in town and stopped here after the beautiful drive down Park Loop and up Sargeant Dr. The bread used for the sandwhiches and french toast is so great! The food was fresh and delicious. The espresso was perfect. The carrot cake is to die for. We took crossants for the long drive home and they were perfect. If you are within 2 hours, this is totally worth the drive. Check out an audio book from your library, take in the MDI views, and make a day trip of coming here. We can't wait to come back! Newly refreshed space with excellent breakfast/brunch fare. I've now sampled several menu items and all were excellent. Great addition to Southwest Harbor. Follow-up... Smoked salmon benedict today served over house grilled potatoes...a delicious alternative. Absolutely love this place. We were up on Mount Desert Island for two weeks vacation and unfortunately we discovered it on the 3rd to the last day. But then we went there each day after. They have incredible Bakery goods and delicious breakfast items. The staff was super nice and friendly. The eggs benedict are out of control. By far the best I've ever had. The coffee is fantastic as well, the interior of the restaurant is very pleasant, and the staff are super friendly.
