Went to circle k to redeem rewards today from the Circle K app. Stephaine helped us. She rang up our Slurpee cups and then the prize code for it and said it wasn't gonna go through because it wasn't a clear cup. We explained they were out of clear cups and that another employee on a previous day okayed using the other cups. She immediately got an attitude. Not wanting to help us due to the cup not being clear. I asked if she was a manager, and she immediately shook her head and said I'm an assistant manager with an attitude in her voice." ( I just wanted to ask for a manager to assist us.) Then, while providing a few other coupon codes, she says, "Give me the next one Rudely. After the codes were entered, we finished with our transaction, and she had overcharged us, and she needed help to fix the bill. Then my daughter was next and had her things rung up, and I let her know that she had her own separate coupon for that, she immediately said, " Oh, I already know." Finally, when I couldn't take any more of her rude, snappy demeanor, I asked her her name. And she replied Stephanie with an attitude. And immediately after that said oh and you can tell Karla that too."" ( Karla is the manager for this location . All in all, I'm beyond surprised that Stephanie is an assistant manager, " as she stated. She completely lacked appropriate communication skills and any ability to work appropriately with customers to solve immediate problems that come up with coupons or their lack of inventory. She definitely had a chip on her shoulder, and it seemed as though she hated her job. I have never before seen her there, and we have been going to this location for a few years multiple times per week. This is actually my favorite location, and I'm sad to see Stephanie represents Circle k in the manner that she does. She definitely doesn't have people skills, and she could benefit from attending some workshops to work on her customer service skills to represent not only herself but Cirlce K employees as a whole in a brighter light . Sad, this experience was all over a slurpee cup not being clear in color... I'll also add that she didn't mind behaving like this in front of multiple other customers in line.
Me and my family really loved this Circle K. They have such a big variety of stuff from the macadamia cookies to the hotdogs and Drinks. We will definitely be coming back to taste the pizza and other items wish my Circle K in Somerton was as nice with friendly service like this one. There were 3 people at the registers taking care of everyone. The lady that was filling up the food station was so friendly that it will be worth the drive to try the other stuff they have.
