This is not a buffet style restaurant. We were sat in a booth by the door, next to the large waiting area, which got quite cold when guests exited and entered; allowing me to see only a very small area of the whole place. It seems sectioned off somewhat awkwardly, from what I could see, which again was not much. Staff was delightful. Kind, attentive but not too much and the chef came out and introduced himself after our meal to ensure we enjoyed it. I ordered egg rolls and the general tsos chicken w fried rice instead of steamed. Both the egg rolls and chicken were fabulous! I do not recommend the fried rice - I didn't care for it at all. Egg rolls are fresh, hand made and larger than most; no need for sweet n sour sauce with those they are so yummy! though it does make them even more delicious. I was pleasantly surprised when not one bite of my chicken was fatty, tough or overly battered - best general tsos chicken I've had yet (less then 10 different places). The person I dined with had the peppered steak - flavor was really good, steak was a bit more chewy than their liking. We've been hearing about this place ever since we've moved to Madelia. So we finally got a chance to go check it out. The food was good, fresh and good portioned at a fair price. The service is the best I've had at a Chinese restaurant. Very friendly and involved owners that make sure the customers are happy. We'll be back, especially for take out if we're driving through. This is my go to when am in town. The owners are so nice and the food is delicious. If you leave hungry it’s your own fault! You get good size portions! I will for sure miss my favorite Chinese restaurant since am not going to Minnesota any time soon 😭😢. Don’t want to miss this small town restaurant! They are worth supporting! The food okay. Prices are out of this world expensive. We got over charged for our meal. This place is dishonest don't come here. They charge you high prices than burn you. They don't show you tax or prices on food when you get your bill. Charged us 10 dollars. For nothing. When I get burned from somewhere I don't come back. Bad business practices. Had a great experience celebrating family birthdays in a spacious, semi -private area with excellent food and service. Johnny and staff were very accommodating and the food/drinks were served in a friendly and timely manner. Highly recommend for family celebrations! This is by far some of the best chinese I've had ever. The owner is wonderful and does occasionally like to carry on a good conversation. He is also the cook. But the food is what gets ya. I got the sliced chicken and veggies, it was a large amount of food for a good price. And the quality was even better. The chicken was good white meat, no gristle. The veggies were done but still had that nice lil crunch to them and the flavor of them was very fresh. It's not your typical buffet because you have to order a dish. But so worth it!!! Pecan crusted shrimp has such delicious flavor. The portions are huge. Sizzling Happy Family was just like its name...Sizzling!! My hot and sour soup was the best I've had in years!!
