Forgot to take a photo of my Italian beef sandy. Had it with peppers. Not bad for my first one. My wife had raved of them. I picked up four with fries & onion rings for my mother-in-laws' birthday. In my quest for a fantastic Chicago-style hotdog, I discovered this place after my usual spot, Mile High Vienna stand, unfortunately closed down due to the owners death. The buns were expertly steamed, and the toppings were abundant. While the fries didn't quite match up to the hand-cut, lard-fried goodness I was accustomed to from the Mile High Stand, the overall experience was delightful. A worthy successor to my Mile High favorite, and I'll certainly be returning for those flavorful Chicago dogs. Yummalicious! Best Chicago Style hot dog in the Denver metro area. The French fries were fresh, hot and crispy just the way they're supposed to be. The service was fast and friendly and the place was spic and span. My girl was in love! She's from Chicago and was giddy with excitement. Granted, I wouldn't know if it's authentic, but she swears it was. I had the famous Chicago Dog, and it was delicious. She had the Italian Beef and loved it. We came near closing time, and while eating, they began turning off the TVs and making the guests feel like they needed to leave. I understand, but it wasn't a good feeling at 7 pm. They lost a star for that. Otherwise, nice place. We'll be back. To start, the place is spotless. Everything clean and the open kitchen design lets you see it is even cleaner than the dining area. The menu is nice and simple. No fuss. Just a handful of quality traditional Chi Town eats! I got the Big Beef and they were not shy with the meat. Hun is on point and the relish tastes homemade (not sure if it was). Get extra juice if you like it wet! Mushrooms are hot as hell so be warned. But also very good! I will be back next time I am in the area! I’m very pleased with my beef sandwich from Chicago Mike’s Beef & Dogs. The au jus is spiced and is not bland, but the beef is not really spiced like, say Buona Beef from the Chicagoland area. That’s not to say it’s not good—it is definitely tasty and will help my Chicago beef cravings while living in the Denver Metro area.
