Had a craving for seafood, in my usual place was already closed so I came over here at the recommendation of a friend. I had the Shore Thing platter. Some of it was good, some of it was just okay. Love the place and we love the owner! Great food and a great bar. We try to go at least once a week during crawfish season because their spicy garlic crawfish is the best I've ever eaten. But I also love their Texas roasted oysters. A fantastic addition to any dish that you plan to order. It is an easy, friendly atmosphere, but we always sit at the bar, so we only have that view of the entire place! Came here for dinner on a Tuesday night based on good reviews. Later we found out they were all too overrated. We had a calamari appetizer. It came out sitting in a pool of grease (see photo). It was also overcooked and rubbery, lacking in seasoning. My fish tacos tortillas were only cooked on one side. The other side was left raw. The chef of this restaurant needs to be fired for allowing this kind of sloppy food to even make it past the kitchen. My husband's shrimp po boy tartar sauce wasn't even spread on the bread. Instead it was slapped on there seemingly in a hurry. It wasn't a busy evening so these shortcomings weren't excusable. Would not recommend it for the mediocre food. Ambience was cute and fun. Eat there with daughters in Tomball, Texas. Atmosphere is exactly what you think a seafood would be. We order this fried oysters starter, and shrimp plate to start with. Couldn’t stop eating the fried oysters. We shared a red fish with mash potatoes. So delicious, but I gave up. I was so full. The staff was awesome. One of the staff found my daughters vapor container on the floor, ( don’t condone vapor), but she not only found it, she sterilized it. Photo to prove it. 5 stars for this seafood restaurant. The fried devil eggs are a must try! I also had the margarita flight and the Lonnie. All were delicious! If you have read my post, you know service is a big thing for me. The service was FABULOUS! Great atmosphere. The Shore Thing fried seafood plate was okay. Only thing really outstanding (and piping hot) was the fried catfish. Would come back for the Catfish. This was my kids and I first time going and I can say they wer very pleased and happy. They both ordered the combo shrimp and crawfish ettouffe. It was delicious they enjoyed it. I gotten the surf and turf burger what i can say it definitely it the spot. I would definitely be back to vist and try something else. Quick stop for appetizers and beers and I've been wowed! How long have I been missing out and have not tried this place out sooner so close to home. Server was great. Atmosphere a bit cramped but I think it's just busy with all the stuff to make it feel coastal. But 2 appetizers and I'm already thinking when to be back to try all their other stuff. Wasn't expecting plating when the food came 😲 but then the flavors just added that 2nd exclamation point to the overall experience and sealed the deal!! Will definitely be back to try the main stuff. Took my Mother and daughter out for a treat, and they loved it! (As did I....of course) The boiled crab is always delicious. It's so hard to find good flavored crab and I believe this is my new spot! My mother really enjoyed the skewers. Was told the salmon excellent. The smile on her face spoke louder words. We especially enjoyed the fried mushrooms I totally recommend. I wanna say Chris B. Was a great server and especially made sure we were all happy, including the littlest of the family. Also the house Magician was a nice unexpected touch.
