It's a really chill area, the slices are a bit too sugary, overall, it's a good little store, with amazing employees. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

First time buyer here, and I was influenced to go by their La Joya store because I am seeing their stores popping up in the McAllen-Mission area. I bought a slice of a chocolate tres leches cake and a trio of cupcakes and I am dissapointed. All four pieces were dry, as in old inventory not overbaked, and tremendously sweet. I will not be a returning customer.

These cakes use to be good now they are nasty the frozen fruit kills these cakes. Yesterday the cake that i bought was super thin not worth the $5 per slice!
