As you enter this charming restaurant, you're greeted with a cozy atmosphere and staff that create an unforgettable dining experience that feels both intimate and welcoming. The menu is focused and authentic. Delicious homemade focaccia bread is served prior to your meal and sets the scene for the appetizers and main course (not to mention wonderful homemade desserts). Cafe Gemma is a top-notch dining experience. Whether you're a local looking for a taste of Italy or a visitor seeking a memorable dining experience in Port Orford, Cafe Gemma is a must-visit destination that promises to exceed your expectations. Reservations are recommended as the dining room is relatively small and the restaurant is popular. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Lovely restaurant that feels like the most authentic Italian cuisine that I've tasted in North America so far. As a vegetarian, it's very nice to have more than one option that's not fries or salad. During our west coast trip, that has been rare so far. Lovely atmosphere, kind people and great service. Would really recommend it to anyone! Wonderful food, service, and atmosphere! We had the garlic fettuccine and the chicken Parmesan, which was fantastic; staff were happy to make small adjustments to the orders. Most of the recipes we were told come from the owner’s great grandmother(where the cafe gets is namesake), and I feel she would be proud! We nearly filled up on her exquisite bread alone! Couldn’t help but take two slices of lemon cheesecake home for later. All in all I would 100% recommend Cafe Gemma’s to any locals, tourists and others who would love a small, but tasty place to have dinner! Cafe Gemma is both a coffee shop and a restaurant with a lot of goodies to offer. I have stopped there for tea and had a few dinners and have yet to be disappointed. The warm staff serves up delicious Italian dishes and desserts with a focus on quality not quantity. I hope they keep the good work because Port Orford needs great places like this.
