First, I want to say that the first thing I love about Café Cliche is that there are none of those big fires inside. Those rob the oxygen inside! Plus breathing propane or natural gas exhaust when inside a small enclosed space? Not very good idea I think. Secondly, great beer and food, excellent atmosphere, waitresses and staff! Definitely 5 stars! Highly recommend! Bill B.

We were here a few months ago. It took the waiter ages to just give the menu and also waited almost an hour for the food while he was chatting loudly with other customers. He came to us just to say “my bad” and that was it. The food was mediocre and very salty, nothing special. Very disappointing. We miss De Vriendschap! Two stars because of the indoor decoration.

Excellent service. Our daughter is celiac and they even fried chips for her in a separate fryer. Burger was fresh and delicious! Oysters Lekker too.

We enjoyed a fantastic meal that was brilliantly prepared. Great flavors, spices, herbs and ingredients. Staff wasn't super friendly but not unfriendly either. The place has a relaxed and vintage atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

My friend took me us here, and we had a very good time. Service is rather slow, but perhaps that is deliberate, as it allows you to spend time together more. The tea options are good, although they are served in a glass without a handle which makes burning your fingers more likely. They had a short menu, but there were good vegetarian options, and they were willing to adapt to the diet requirements of one of the party members, which was awesome.

We came across the wrong number: I would have like the waiter was a little more cheerful. I would have liked him to advise me on the menu rather than let me be wrong on the menu. I would have like he had given me time to read the menu. I would have liked him to serve me the drink I ordered. I would have like he didn't ignore us. I would have liked him not to reverse the order of another table on my coat. In short, I would have liked to be served by another waiter because they were much more professional. Otherwise my friend's tortillas were good.

Nice surprise menu with 10 meals to share : 2 starters, 3 cold mains, 3 hot mains and 2 desserts. It is quite special and well selected in term of tastes ! We appreciated a little less the last dessert (question of taste) and the hot main were not that hot at the time they were served. Anyway staff is really nice and kind, the place is really cosy (and we really preferred to be seated upstairs). We surely will come back :-)
