Ca Pepico, located in the countryside of Meliana, is a fine dining spot that serves classical Spanish/Mediterranean fare with the freshest of ingredients cooked to perfection. The interior design is fine and the ambiance good, but it can get a little noisy when full. The prices are unbelievable given the quality, making it an excellent value. The restaurant is known for its outstanding shellfish paella, which says a lot for a land where paella is king. Other dishes include fried tender artichokes, boquerones, arroz meloso with seafood, and calamari al plancha. The wine list is fantastic, featuring many local options. The staff is friendly and attentive, although some elements persist in addressing customers in Valencian instead of Spanish. Ca Pepico is definitely worth the trip for a unique culinary experience in the heart of the Valencian countryside.
