Once the promenade around the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum is over, visit Buff's. Many guests say that waiters serve nicely cooked burritos, cheeseburgers and chicken strips here. What an absolute gold mine of a town and such a diamond in the rough of a restaurant with salt of the earth personnel. My first time so locals be warned but realistically it was such a relieving experience. Get what you pay for and get exactly what you want? Seldom is that the case this day in age. Granted it was a Monday between lunch and dinner but I expected the place to be packed. I'm sure it is when they have live music but I definitely felt the local presence as the bartender met and greeted everyone by name. I don't reside here but just saying it felt like Cheers!©. Hats off to y'all! Ten out of ten I will always recommend and best believe when I am close I will return again. Carry out - five stars. Dine in - zero. We dined in for the first time and it was obvious we’d never been there. The staff told us we needed to go around the corner to order, okay. We ordered and then the lady disappeared. We sat down and were the only table there. After a long while, I went looking to see if my food was ready. It was sitting under a heat lamp with three staff members standing around. I asked how I was supposed to know my order was ready and was told that if I leaned over from where I was sitting there’s a small sign on the wall that displays numbers. I was just supposed to know that. No one ever took the initiative to bring the food out after it was clear we didn’t know the process. The next table that came in had their food delivered to them. Overall, unimpressed with the service. I had previously done take out through the drive thru and was pleasantly impressed though.
