This place is a pure disappointment. Being so we'll place, with an amazing view and waste that with loud and useless pop music that force you to shout to talk. The food is very medium. The service not caring at all . Notice that it s CASH ONLY .

Wonder mountain lodge at main trailhead to sumava trails. E-bike rental next door. Wonderful beer and food. Will come again.

A quick stop only (for a coffee and beer in PET) but very friendly staff and great coffee. Food seemed nice too and we love the absolutely wonderful location of the village. You can park close to the pub but for 20czk per hour. Prices standard to Sumava.

Czech restaurant with local food. We have ordered grilled cheese and pork chop. I have asked to have more green beans instead of potatoes however there was more beacon and onion then green beans. Otherwise, it was nice. Our waiter was really nice and efficient. The place was really busy. I was confused that they accepted just cash. Otherwise, it’s good place to eat in Modrava.

Beautiful village of Modrava in the heart of Bohemian Forest (Šumava) offers many pleasures among which the brewery house Lyer is the TOP! At least to me.. Traditional wooden construction with the large open terrace above the Roklanský stream was built with exceptional respect. The brewery was open in just 2014 and shortly became very famous. Their flag ship is 12° lager but they can do much more. Like this year special 12° IPL Kangaroo. I can only recommend this beer! (And there are three kangaroos living in front of the house. True!) Cuisine is simply the best! Anything from the daily menu is worth enough. But I say, Have a steak from their own home-breed beef. It is always the sure shot.

I spent this weekend at the Lyer Brewery in Modrava. It is a hotel type accommodation in a new building. The rooms are very nice, I especially like the admitted wooden beams in the interior. We appreciated the good breakfast. The food in the restaurant is generally excellent; the prices are not low, but the portions are really big. The staff is friendly and do their best to help. It's a family friendly place, you can rent sleds or cross-country skis and they have most kids’ sizes. There is also an enclosure with three kangaroos across the stream. My kids were thrilled. The brewery is directly adjacent to the Šumava National Park, where you can go on many beautiful trails - on foot, cross-country skiing or on a bike in summer.

Top of the class restaurant in Czech Republic. The interior looks Swiss cottage style and the river view at the terrace is amazeballs! Lunch menu is not bad but the overall experience is 10 stars. Service is epic good and pleasant. The staffs are friendly, polite and cheerful. One of the staffs even knows German language. The toilet is very clean and even has hand lotion for the ladies to moisturise their hands. Very attentive and a wonderful restaurant! Will definitely eat in this restaurant, and I recommend it to everyone!

I agree with others saying that the prices are very high, comparable to Prague. But the terrace and view are the best in Modrava. Their beer and food is great, so you can't go wrong coming here.

Modern light Czech food next to heavy traditional dishes. Nice weather promise: bbq! Well, today superb weather but no bbq. Payment by cash only. No cards accepted. Disappointing since it is not well promoted. Please check your ordering before paying, our was totally wrong and we had to summarise our ordering. Food was really ok, good taste, well cooked. But it was not special. Hotel Modrava restaurant cooks with more taste but has the traditional menu only. Think there were 7 people serving, only 1 was reliant. Service can really improve from reactive to pro active. Average Dutch place on the beach has a better and prompt service and one has not to waive for the waiter 3 times during a normal (short) visit. Menu suggestion to add: kids menu. That's missing at all. Overall you pay for the location and not for the food.
