We ate here as we were at the end of a long and tiring day cycling along the Meuse on Eurovelo19. We couldn’t find anywhere to camp, all the local campsites were too full and turned us away, the restaurant proprietor invited us to camp in his garden just a few kilometres away, now that is true hospitality.
This was the best dinner we have eaten anywhere in the Netherlands, I had the schnitzel which was juicier, more succulent and tastier than any schnitzel I have ever eaten in Vienna.
The camping was beautiful - we had the whole garden to ourselves and drank with the children (M, F and W) who were wonderfully charming and certainly educated us in the ways of Brabant culture.
I cannot thank the restaurateur and his family enough for a wonderful evening of fine Dutch hospitality.
