I've been here a few times with friends when we want to go to a little more upscale place. The food has always been perfect. The menu does change from time to time, but is varied enough that you can always find something to your liking. Save room for desert! The staff is top notch. Minor substitutions weren't a problem (mashed instead of fries). All of the food we have tried so far has been very tasty. All chicken dishes on the menu are great, great pasta options too. Croque Madame for brunch is very filling. Knowledgeable staff and bartenders with a dedicated sommelier make for a great dining and drinking experience. Cocktails are all unique and delicious. Always great service every time we come! The restaurant is beautiful too with plenty of seating and its own free parking. I haven't reviewed a restaurant in a long time, but I felt compelled to say a few words about Branchline in Watertown. First, it was nice to be able to reserve a nice restaurant at the last minute, on a Friday night. These days, most good restaurants require reservations at least a week or two in advance. I had the eggplant plate with straciatella cheese and.it.was.diiiiivine!!!! Eggplant were fried to perfect crispiness. The striacatella was delicious. Just enough red sauce not to overpower or sog the dish. Delicious!!! I would go back just for that dish! Service was outstanding overall but our waiter at the bar (guy with black beard) was especially awesome. Very attentive, intuitive and even gave us two types of wine to sample before we picked what we wanted. Food came super quick. Noise level was fairly low for a space of that size and am iance was romantic. I was very impressed overall - Great job Branchline! Keep up the great work and thank you for bringing such a great restaurant to a local neighborhood without having to schlep into Boston proper! 🙏🫶😋 P.S. Nice job on the tea service as well! Most restaurants serve tea bags and the quality of the tea usually doesn't measure up to the dessert being served. I loved that you use loose tea leaves and the personal teapot is a nice touch. We had the croissant bread pudding with the eggnog creme anglaise and it was the perfect way to finish a great meal! The drinks here are excellent but the food was mixed. The appetizers were good but the chicken was too salty and the sliced pork tasted like old Thanksgiving leftovers. They have a dedicated fryer for fries and chips so they are gluten free. Amazing Restaurant! My wife and I had our wedding there and the service was flawless. The atmosphere and help by the staff was awesome. The food was INCREDIBLE! The chef made sure all dietary preferences were taken care of also which he didn't have to do. Shoutout to Deena also who was an amazing organizer of the event and made sure it went through without a hitch. The entire staff went above and beyond to be completely honest so we will be returning every year if we can. Went for dinner and lunch on Fri and sun while visiting friends. Garlic fries were moreish! Also enjoyed the snap pea salad & 2 desserts (bread pudding - was dense & flavored generously with cinnamon - and brownie). I did not get the chicken and waffles but a friend did and they looked divine! Would personally pass on the crab cakes (found the coating too overdone). The wine selection was also tops - a nice combo of Italian, French & US (CA & finger lakes region). If you’re into cocktails, ask for the whiskey smash :) Service was good on both days, very friendly & approachable. Also kind towards kids - the kids at our table got coloring paper & crayons. The service here was phenomenal from start to finish, and we were so impressed by our knowledgeable waiter and wine sommelier. The food was incredible, especially the vegetable sides. Must-try’s: -Thumbelina Carrots - Sugar Snap Pea Salad - Steak Frites A bit outside of Boston, but definitely worth a trip. Great ambience inside and outside, and is a great spot for a corporate event, date night, or just a great brunch / dinner spot. Good quality and taste but over priced for what it is. Eggs bacon toast and home fries at many diners in the state you would be 6-10$ and here 14$. It was still very good but for basic breakfast not the value for money. You! Are you in a relationship? Are you looking for a great fancy date spot in Armory Yards? Here's what you're gonna do. You're gonna go to Branch Line and you're going to split a whole chicken with your current or soon to be significant other. Do you have to order the rotisserie chicken at Branch Line? Yes. I didn't make the rules but there they are. I have had many a chicken in my lifetime. Can I say that Branch Line is the best chicken dish I have ever had? I'm not sure. Can I say that Branch line rotisserie chicken is the best chicken only dish I have ever had? Yah, that sounds about right. Splitting a rotisserie chicken is just too much fun, the Peri Peri is so aoft and flavorful, and it comes with fries too! The buratta I had here was also one of the best burattas I have ever had. It's a small wonder at how tasty it is, but it is simply dwarfed by the sun that is the rotisserie chicken. ALSO MAKE SURE YOU DIP IT IN THE BASIN. They will try to take the flavor juices from you once the chicken is on your plate. They are kind and attentive and trying to be good servers but DO NOT LET THEM TAKE THE DRIPPINGS FROM YOU. If you work here and you read these word tell the people to dip! Insist they dip. Invite and implore them to have a little dippy. The chicken flavor will exolode in your mouth and you will cry and be in love for the first time or once again as if it were the first time, with your date and with your chicken. Seriously cool place, and near enough to the charles to be a biking destination to end on. Very romantic. GET THE CHICKEN.
