I needed a place open late and snacked on some pulled pork tacos w/avacado, and some mozz! Delicous, also, if you want a nice strong drink... this is the place! Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Fried Mozzarella

The Black Horse Tavern was the first Tavern downtown. The First Pub arrived post this Tavern. I always found this menu here interesting. I found it difficult to find what I want like a piece of dish, baked potato and a veggie. Today, I tried the cup of chili with a side salad. Both dishes were very good. In fact, taste wise, I found it hard to compare to the other pub. Both are excellent. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Quite possibly the worst meal I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Braised short rib, more like flavorless hunk of meat on top of instant potatoes covered with very stale shoestring somethings and not sure why but a ridiculous amount of baby carrots straight out of the bag from local grocer’s produce aisle. As I’m pondering if there could be a worse meal I look across the table with horror at my wife’s “pulled pork tacos” which consisted of Lloyd’s pulled pork , a sandwich brown colored slice of avocado and once again everyone’s favorite stale shoestring somethings. Awful and it cost 70 dollars per person. Price per person $50–100 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 2

Second time here while looking for a place and checking out the area. Food is appreciably better than bar food and great service. Tonight the addition of music makes it better! Highly recommend. Price per person $30–50 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

My brother moved to this town, and it became one of his go to place for food, drinks, and hang out. I really understand why. Food is delicious. Service is great. Drinks are present, so...can't go wrong with that. Clean, good vibes. A great neighborhood place yo hang out and have dinner (or lunch...or brunch). Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I have eaten here twice, ordered two different flatbread pizzas (blue cheese steak & pulled pork bbq) and have to say the food is incredible. These flatbread pizzas are some of the best I've had anywhere. Highly recommend giving these a try, and am looking forward to tasting the rest of the menu.

The food and drinks were very good especially the mazzarella with an amazing sauce. The black horse tavern brew was also outstanding because it was flavorful and tasty without being too heavy. The fish-and-chips was good but I would have preferred more fish and fewer chips. Parking is available after hours at the transit station parking lot across the street. Otherwise parking can be expensive if you plan to stay for a while. The only negative was the attitude of the waitresses. I should have checked other Yelp reviews Which mentioned the same characteristic among the wait staff.

Great place. Had heard lots of good things and after lunch today I can confirm they were correct about this place. A little pricey (it is Winchester), but great food and great service. Will definitely be back again!
