After a disappointing experience at a nearby restaurant up the road (rhymes with Marlo), I remembered hearing about Birdie Bar on Instagram. I was excited to try it, enticed by the fantastic food and friendly staff showcased online. Walking into the sound of my favorite song playing and Amy's warm welcome along with the freedom to choose our table turned our night around. Meeting Glenn, our server, added to the positive vibe. The onion soup.....Holy Crostini!, 100% exceeded our expectations. I personally will never be able to enjoy a regular ol' french onion soup again. Next, we had their Famous French Dip, paired with hand-cut potato chips reminiscent of my father-in-law's kitchen, a surge of delightful memories embraced us. Sooooo Amazing! This visit truly rejuvenated our evening. We're eagerly anticipating our return to enjoy their Happy Hour & to visit their sister location, Robkes!

Our meals were excellent, our waitress was spot on. With lots of available tables (many still open when we left) they stuck us behind a little wall that backs up to a server station.

It's safe to say my fiance and I were incredibly disappointed with the meal/experience.
First, we waited 20 minutes before a server came to take our drink order. We ordered several apps, one of them being the french onion soup. It came with no spoon. So, we waited for a server to come to our table. Twenty minutes later and still no one checked on us. We were able to flag down a runner (who delivered food) and asked him for one. Unfortunately, he forgot to bring us one as well. By the time the server came, it was cold and we sent it back. We asked for bread, which never came. I got the chicken sandwich which was good. My fiance got the steak with chimichurri sauce on it which left more to be desired (barely any chimichurri sauce on it). We finished the meal with coffees, and had no silverware, once again, to stir the milk and sugar in (at this point we stole a knife from another table). Overall, we wanted to like this place more, but the experience might have ruined it.

Got the “famous French dip” it was mostly flavorless along with all the other food I ordered. Food was just whatever, not good enough for the price. Staff was nice and the atmosphere was good. Come for the bar and nothing else.

Couldn’t be happier with our Sunday night visit to Birdie Bar. We sat upstairs with Alexis as our server, who was quite possibly the best waitress we’ve ever had. We will be back!
