Taste nicely cooked roasted duck, belly pork and pork chops to form your opinion about this bar. You will enjoy its food, especially tasty banana pudding, peach cobbler and biscuits. It might be cool to try delicious wine, craft beer or martinis. In accordance with the guests' opinions, waiters serve great ice tea or good lemonade. Birchwood Hall is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Prices are reasonable for the quality you get. The spectacular decor and nice atmosphere let guests feel relaxed here. Based on the visitors' feedback on Google, this place deserved 4.4.

This restaurant has a very interesting menu that can appeal to a wide audience, from meat eaters to vegetarians and from foodies to traditionalists. I can't give it 5 stars though as the excecution fell just a bit short of my expectations. Don't get me wrong, we did enjoy our meal, but a few details would have earned it a 5 star. I had a beet and goat cheese salad with a honey walnut vinaigrette. I like my vinaigrette tangy, but this one was over the top, almost pure vinegar. Our server brought our entrée before we had finished our salads, which is a big pet peeve of ours. My husband's shrimp perloo was excellent and a very copious portion. My fried portabella mushroom was good, but the mushrooms felt tough (maybe overcooked) and the way they was presented on top of the puree and the Brussels sprouts made it difficult and messy to cut through them. We'll give this place another try though, as I've spotted other things on the menu I'd like to try. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
Enjoyed the fresh Arugula, beet and goat cheese salad with added grilled chicken. The portion was generous and dressing flavorful. My friend ordered the chicken pot pie with side salad and was pleased. They offer a nice craft cocktail menu and the server was friendly and attentive. I will return when back in the area. We stopped by here as one of our friends just randomly searched while returning from hiking up in Great Smoky Mountain. My friend looked up for a great chicken sandwich and this place was it. It was very fancy restaurant with pretty Christmas decoration. We ordered porkbelly grit as an appetizer and I had a Birchwood burger (medium). I had fries for the side. The plating was beautiful and the foods were amazing. Porkbelly grit was really amazing that we finished them all in less than a minute. It was literally gone. Birchwood burger was very juicy and savory. The fries that came out for the side were very crispy. If you ever get to visit some place around here, stop by and check this place out. The foods were awesome. Oh, and also I forgot to mention. The staffs were so friendly and professional. Overall, with very less information, it was a very satisfying experience. Highly recommend! 👍 Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The duck is good and the steaks are great. But we got a appetizer some kind of kale/ apple bake. IT WAS HORRIBLE & EXPENSIVE! We took 2 bites and told the server it was HORRIBLE and he didn't even offer another choice of appetizer or to take it off the bill. His attitude was "HATE IT FOR YA" Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
We came for the pot pie which is only served during lunch hours... highly recommend. The fried goat cheese fritters were so creamy and paired well with the pepper jelly! The Old Fashion is particularly good... right parts of Smoky and citrus. Very very good. We loved every minute of it! First time eating here…. was amazing. Everything from the entrees to the sauces was all made in-house. Had the duck wings appetizer with homemade blue cheese and homemade hot sauce…. stellar. Entrees, we had the pork chop and the meatloaf, both fantastic and for dessert we tried the buttermilk pie and banana pudding. Both highly recommended!! Will definitely return! This place is very nice and puts a semi gourmet twist on some southern favorites. I got the hamburger steak and it was cooked well and the dish in general was quite flavorful. The burger wasn't, as you can see from the picture. That's why I gave 4 stars. Would try again and would recommend. Choose to eat here before I drove back home from my trip. Paul really stood out with his professionalism and attention to detail. The burger I had was definitely top-notch, and they have the best homemade Apple cobbler desert that I've ever had... even has a scoop of ice cream at the top. I really enjoyed my visit here! Service was very friendly and the food was delicious. Wife ordered the Fried Chicken platter and I had the Birchwood Burger. We tried the Goat Cheese fritters appetizer accompanied with some 50/50 Sweet/Unsweetened tea. Everything was delicious. Will definitely be returning. ***Update*** Returned once more and tried the duck, which was delicious. My dining mates had the dinner fried chicken and mushroom. All fantastic as well. Side note… they do make a mean peach Old Fashioned worth giving a try if you’re into those. I had requested that mine be customized with Basil Hayden and they did. It was a 10/10.
