Food was tasty! Recommend mofongo only with seafood! With steak was so dry. No good

The food was fantastic, we had the creamy conch appetizer and mofongo de carne fritas. The meat was a little overcooked but the mofongo was some of the best I've ever had. For being very understaffed, they did a great job at keeping up. Unfortunately with the vehicles blasting their music as they drive by it killed the vibe for many of the customers. There was also an alarm that would go off if anyone on the patio moved or stood up, which was incredibly disruptive and loud. Otherwise, the food was fantastic, service was great considering, but the atmosphere was so-so.

Mofongo
Food was good, but it took forever. Our waitress was kind but wore sunglasses to avoid eye contact lol. It was kinda busy but it seemed like the three servers alternated bar duty (and there were lots of drink orders). Our waitress misunderstood what I wanted and when we ordered she didn’t repeat it back to us which meant I didn’t catch it until food came out. It wasn’t a huge deal but confusing.
Also the shrimp your way was expensive to not include any side dishes.
We wanted to sit outside but were seated inside which is just not as nice. The room is sparsely decorated and quite cold. I imagine the vibe is nicer outside.
My husband and a friend got the grouper fish curry and absolutely loved it. The coconut rice is on the sweeter side.
To make up for the delays, we did get our drinks comped which was nice. She got it. And it’s unfortunate it was so chaotic. But while overall food is pretty good the uninspiring decor inside and poor service probably mean I would not return.

This place was recommended by Marta taxi who is amazing by the way. Anyways the food was fantastic! I had the skirt steak tacos and my wife had the chicharron de pollo and it was incredible!
