If you think this place is good, you don't know good Italian food. Within 5 miles are many Italian restaurants with similar prices that make homemade pasta. This place does not. The dining area and open kitchen were nicely done and visually appealing. The food was really good, especially the sauce on my pasta primavera. There weren’t many vegan options but I was glad they had at least one. The service is the only reason they get 4 stars instead of 5. Our server was clearly disinterested in being there and interacted as little as possible. At least he did it with a smile. I do not know who they paid to get the Best in Las Vegas vote. It's a lie their is nothing Italian about this place but the bread that you have to pay for which was even then your basic sourdough with oil and vinegar. The bartender and the hostess was the most professional. The waiter Jorge was not he took forever to come to the table when it's empty in here. I will post pics to prove my point. I ordered a shrimp fettucini, asked for fresh parmesan since I noticed that when the food was brought out it had the parmesan powder that I would expect at a lower end pizza joint. I then asked for fresh parmesan thinking that they were going to come with a grinder since this is an “Italian “ restaurant…. Nope, I got the Kroger special in a jar. (Please see in pics attached.)Took one bite of the pasta sauce taste like something out a jar definitely not homemade sauce& the pasta undercooked and luke warm. When I finally got the waiter - Jorge attention and tried to tell him about everything started by explaining that I know he is not the cook I am not eating this… there are some things that are not right he cut me off ( rude) took the plate said I will take it off and brought back the check and ran. A manager never came to follow up, they simply did not care. This is unacceptable. The 2 star for the service is to account for the service I received from the hostess and the bartender unfortunately when paired with the less than 1 star for Jorge the waiter it averages out to 2 stars. All of this occurred around 2 pm on Tuesday December 19, 2023 during happy hour. If you are looking for real Italian food this is not the place I suggest you go elsewhere. I ended not having dinner, because I had to sent back my food twice, I ordered the Sergio's Favorite, which is a $42.00 pasta plate with some braised ribs. I have ordered that dish more than 5 times in the Blue Diamond branch, but this time we went to the Green valley. The 1st time, it was flavorless, the only taste was of boiled pasta, it was awful (I normally don't send back dishes back, but I had to do it). The 2nd time the put extra sauce, it looked good, but it was just salty. So the issue here is that the sauce was plain (and I have tied the dish before) and to fixed they just added tons of salt, making it worse. The problem was that the sauce was not prepared as it should be. This ruin the whole afternoon, I t was supposed to be a nice dinner with my wife and you can imagine the stress this creates when only one is eating. it was just 1 plate that was awful (besides the small size of the panna Cota), but that stressed everything, at the end I didn't eat. I felt like I threw my money to the trash, as I dis spend almost $200.00 for just dinner for 1 and some drinks. I used to go frequently to the Blue Diamond branch, but I stopped going, because I consider it's now overpriced, but at least I knew the Sergio's favorite was going to be a good election and it was the opposite.
