My family and I came here to celebrate my son's birthday! This was actually the first time I've dined in. We usually get takeout. We had an amazing time, and the staff were very accommodating to our large group. Our waitress took this amazing photo of us. She was awesome. I can't remember her name, but she really was patient with us. The food was delicious! Thank you so much for making this experience memorable for us! Nice people and great service, however 3 out of the last 4 times I've gotten pizza here is just a thin layer of cheese. Beggars is know for laying it "thick". Once it's OK, twice I'm like hmm. But 3 times, c'mon. Don't think I'll be ordering from this beggars anymore. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We've been coming to this place for over 25 years and last night was absolutely the worst experience we've ever had. After arriving with 22 people, we were surprised to learn they would not do separate checks. We would have had four to five separate checks total between our group. After confronting the mgr we were told it was company policy. I personally went to reception/bar to order a beverage and no one was present to take my order. After waiting for a bit I noticed three people in kitchen which is adjacent to the counter and asked if I could get some service. The response was certainly not what I would call acceptable. Afre all this when we were done the waitress came out and starting collecting our payment individually. What a mess, total chaos. I can assure you our family will not be back. The manager certainly did not display any interest in our our request,concerns, or satisfaction. I might add,there was one other couple in the dining area during the whole time. On 12/23/2023, I tried a large deep dish pizza with ground beef. Both before and after I placed the order I wanted to cancel it. However, I proceeded to get the pizza anyway. From my point of view, the Dish Deep Dish had undercooked areas and it was truly awful. I could only eat the top of the pizza that had the sauce and meat. Therefore, in the future I will stick solely to “Crispy and Thin” pizzas made Italian Style, but with the cultures of many countries I’ve lived in. My pizza was all over the place, it looked like the car was flipped or something and my deep dish cookie was literally folded in half. If you enjoy listening to pipe organs as you would in church while trying to enjoy a pizza night with the family, have at it. It was the most awful experience and given we were the only customers in there, I'm not surprised. It felt as though they continued to play and clean and practice to get us to leave, even after we asked if they could stop. So, we did what they wanted and left. It was a Monday night. I have been visiting this establishment for 6 years and have not left a review. Beggars is truly the best representation for a Chicago pizza. The cheese is authentic and perfect every time. The sausage is savory and pepperoni is delicate. Cheese fries are bomb. Garlic cheesy bread is bomb. Cookie deep dish is bomb. Burger is bomb. This isn’t Little Ceasars, you won’t be paying $8 for a large pizza. You get what you pay for. They were awesome even during COVID when there was no dine in. However, after COVID they seem short staff on servers but they’re always nice to us so no complaints there. Atmosphere is adorable. Love the fact that this building was previously a theatre. Unique pizza crust. Pizza sauce is very good. The atmosphere at this location is very cool as it is in an old movie theater. There is a vibe that you are getting your pizza from the concession stand and the main attraction is not the movie, but the dining on your pizza. A few in our party thought the pepperoni and sausage toppings were a bit salty, but overall, we had a good pizza.
