Really good BBQ. I got the chopped plate for lunch and the BBQ was very well balanced between the flavors of pork, smoke, hot sauce and vinegar, without any one element overpowering the others. Additional sauces offered were Joe's sauce which was pleasant and sweet without tasting like syrup. Also a hot sauce which had good flavor without being punishing. Portion size was good. Hushpuppies were excellent. Friendly and fast service. Price is a little steep but everything costs more these days. The environment was super clean, even the bathroom!😊 I just hated that I had to order a large iced tea to get a better price! Also, it was super sweet & they don't serve fresh lemon slices!! Had the sliced brisket plate with sweet potato casserole, baked beans and added some fried okra. The brisket had some major smoke rings on it and was super moist and flavorful. Did not taste like vinegar! The Joe's sauce was good- again not vinegar flavored. The beans were ok, the fried okra was ok, but the start of my plate- in my opinion- was that sweet potato casserole! I would definitely recommend it and the brisket, for sure. They were super busy with people picking up catering orders and it seem to allow them down a bit. Great food, great service! I went here for the first time yesterday. It was absolutely delicious! I have never liked sweet tea and I'm from the south but I impulsively ordered a large one with my meal because something told me it would be worth it and it was the BEST sweet tea I've ever had!
