First time eating here and can’t wait to go back. The view, the drinks, the food, EXCELLENT! But our server, Mila, made the experience that much better. Very happy we decided to check it out. New Sausalito favorite 🩵 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Location is everything. It's in second floor full bar and restaurant. View to Bay and treasure island makes it a uniquely amazing location. Inside is open floor with bar seating, tables and balcony tables great for couples with romantic views. Food is amazing and well presented. Caviar sake is so smooth and tasty. Burger was exactly as requested and delicious. Not store of accessibility due to stairs and being in second floor. Didn't notice elevator or ramps! Service was great too with attentive polite waiters. Make sure you get early or make a reservation! We came on a rainy Sunday afternoon with a reservation and we were seated very quickly. The restaurant was nice and they had a really great whiskey selection which is always nice to see. We ordered the Tuna Tartare Tacos and a bowl of New England clam chowder and both were really tasty. The fish was super fresh and flavorful and the chowder was full of clams and nicely balanced. We liked it! Loved the atmosphere too... it was upscale, yet casual and we had a great view of the bay from our table next to the window. Would definitely come back again the next time we're in Sausalito and I think next time we'll plan to have a full dinner and drinks here. Their service and views at the Barrel House are amazing. The food was excellent…except the clam chowder. The drinks were top notch. Only planned on one round and they were so good, we had two. Highly recommend the Old Fashioned and the Pepper Paloma. The Ahi Tuna tartare tacos were so good. The avocado mousse and crispy wonton shell made the best combination. The lobster risotto had tons of lobster and a creamy sauce. The Pork Ribs were a little over cooked but tons of flavor and the fries were cooked perfect. As mentioned, the clam chowder was not something we would order again as well as the salad, add chicken. Stick with a bunch of starters and the entrees and you will be good. We visited Sausalito and chose Barrel House Tavern because of its beautiful view location. The restaurant has an elevator so it was convenient for us to take our baby's stroller upstairs. Friendly, enthusiastic and agile staff. We ordered from the special menu. Fresh seafood, seasoned to taste. You should try draft beer here especially Pilsner, very delicious. Our dinner experience was really fantastic. Evening setting. Gorgeous views of the city. We sat outside on the patio which was way more comfortable than I thought with the outdoor heaters.
