Cute place, bright and cheerful, menu on the smaller side but inventive and broad ranging. I rather enjoyed my “boiled dinner” hash and eggs. Good portions, reasonable prices, cheerful folks. Only complaint: of the 5 parties in the dining area, 2 of us wanted espresso drinks (hint hint)…

If you are in Damariscotta, think about having breakfast here. I had the eggs benedict (comes with ham or greens). I had it with greens and added bacon. Omg was that good! The bacon was perfectly cooked and perfectly salty/smokey. The poached eggs were perfect... no runny whites! The hollandaise was perfectly creamy but the lemon flavor made it not so heavy, if that makes sense. We also got a egg breakfast (eggs carnitas) and that was just as good. I had a Earl Grey tea which was more floral than I'm used to, but it was a loose tea.
I would like to go back to try other choices... and get the bacon! Lol! Good stuff!

Egg Sandwich with Carnitas
I ordered the Barn Door Deluxe, with sauteed greens, smashed potatoes, and carnitas. And boy, was it deluxe and delicious!! You can upgrade the pancakes to blueberry and I sure am glad I made that choice. Don't get me wrong the plain pancakes are fluffy, large and super tasty, but the blueberries really add something special. The real maple syrup is a nice touch as well.
On a busy Saturday morning the host and servers made us feel very welcome, cared for and really kept that coffee and tea flowing.
I highly recommend the friendly folks at Barn Door Breakfast. The kitchen is obviously talented, the staff are all friendly, and the food is perfect.

Everything about this place is fantastic. The atmosphere is homey and fun, food was fantastic, and the staff welcoming and skilled. My husband and I both had the corned beef hash with sourdough toast. It was REAL hash, not from a can as many restaurants serve. Super flavorful and served with your choice of eggs. We will definitely be going back!

The Very Best Breakfast Anywhere.
The menu, is full of amazing choices. My wife and I have tried many different items, and can't make up our mind which we like best.
The atmosphere of this beautiful restaurant only adds to the entire breakfast experience.

I ate here 4 days in a row, had a different meal every time and they were all fantastic! The wait staff was friendly and efficient as well. Can't recommend Barn Door enough!
