Fantastic! Escargot, French Onion soup, steak and martinis were all fabulous. Terrific ambiance--what a cozy retro room in the old speak easy. We stayed for hours on our anniversary. Never felt rushed. Delightful eve. Bob, the bartender, is superbly wonderful and talented. He is why BL isour first choice. Great vibe in the basement, nice grounds in a beautiful hotel. We had fun. On the other hand, my $50 steak was covered in sauce and cut in half. At best, a $25 dish at a diner. Bartender made me an old fashioned that tasted like gas station $5 liquors and water. If I ordered a few beers and a sandwich I likely would have had an outstanding time. Cappuccino coffee was NOT brewed correctly and tasted very weak. The milk on the cappuccino was cold. The chocolate croissant was stale and we could not eat it. We do it recommend this place!!!! Price per person $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
