À propos
Immerse yourself in stunning Chinese and Japanese cuisines at this place. Most people think that you can have good miso soup, chicken sushi and spicy beef here. The chef at this restaurant cooks tasty ginger ice cream and good pancakes. Delicious Mai tai is served - try and enjoy. It is good to try great iced green tea, tea or coffee. Bamboo with takeout dishes is suitable for those guests who like to have supper in a hurry. This place is recommended for the energetic staff. The terrific service is something these restaurateurs care about. A number of visitors have noticed that prices are reasonable for what you receive. There is a nice atmosphere and cute decor at this spot. This restaurant scored 4.1 in the Google rating system.

Unlike some older reviews, they no longer have lunch buffets on the weekends. Supposedly they have it on weekdays. Anyhow, we came for lunch on a Saturday and were very disappointed. First was the tempura udon soup. The shrimp had a thick coat of batter, not the light flaky stuff you'd expect from a real Japanese restaurant. The soup tasted like chicken broth. It was definitely NOT Japanese. Second was the beef moo shu pancakes. The moo shu was sitting in a deep puddle of brown liquid. Properly prepared, it ought to be on the dry side. Third was the crispy pad Thai. There was NOTHING Thai about it. Didn't taste or look remotely Thai. It was a pile of broken fried thin yellow noodles with some vegetables and a couple of shrimp and slivers of chicken. The waiter was ok and the ambience is classy, but don't be fooled. There were only 2 tables occupied the entire hour we were there, from noon to 1pm on a Saturday. I feel bad, because years ago this was a place doing great business and cooking great food. It's all gone except for the decor. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

My teenage son was on a mission to try authentic Chinese food. So we stopped by Bamboo following recommendations from friends. I was disappointed to find out the Chinese dishes tasted a bit off. We ordered scallion pancakes, crispy sesame chicken, miso soup and shrimp/veggie tempura. Only the tempura was good. Even the miso soup and scallion pancakes were subpar. I had ordered a sushi plate from here, specifically the Spicy Maki Combo. It was mediocre, unfortunately, and the presentation and crafting was very sloppy. On top of that, the bartender had given me water in a dirty glass (I could see particulates floating around) and a slightly dirty appetizer plate. It was not the worst sushi in the world, but I feel as if they could have done better. The service was bad. The bartender who served me was okay, but he seemed to be hurried and inattentive, even though it was mostly empty. Maybe I just caught the poor guy on a bad day. I hope I am not being mean. On the other hand, the female employee behind the front welcoming desk (and on the phone) was rude and curt in her tone. I personally did not mind her attitude too much, but it seemed to be a turn-off for other patrons coming in and out of the restaurant. I suppose I am a fool for ordering sushi at what is mainly advertised as a Chinese restaurant. Perhaps their Chinese dishes would have been better, though from what I gathered from other patrons, I would not exactly call it "fine cuisine", as they have promoted. As for the atmosphere, the interior was pretty to look at, but with the issues I had experienced, it did not feel welcoming at all. I am sure their Chinese foods are the better option, especially for takeout, but this first-time experience just left a bad impression on me and I most likely will not be returning here. Unfortunately we had takeout that was not the quality that Bamboo has been known for. This rating is specific to the Bo Bo for two. The beef skewers were very good. The crab rangoon was over cooked and unappealing! The Egg Rolls seemed like they were frozen and stuffed with very little content. The chicken fingers and shrimp tempura were good. The spare ribs were just okay -they were greesy. The special fried rice; one of my favorites was very good. There are many other options for Chinese food in the area..We will not return to this restaurant. Food: 1
Food was ok, the silverware not clean, the glass felt dirty, not smooth when touched and the waitress insisted that it was normal, the menu said prosecco mionetto and for that they charged me and gave me another one of a different quality. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
