Delicious pastries! Coffee meh but then again, is a bakery 😉 a must is the raspberry/mascarpone flaky pastry, definitely worth it.

Every other time I visit this area I stop by for a coffee or a snack and it never disappoints ! Array of choices for vegetarians my personal fav. being Spinach roll and Potato roll. Also do keep in mind , the last 1 hour of business has 50% off for all products which is a absolute steal ! Do hop in while in this area for a quick snack that's very reasonably priced .

One of the best bakeries we went to during our trip to Oslo! They have a good variety of pastries and breads every day, and the prices are super fair for what you pay for. We went here every single day while we were in Oslo. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a more affordable bakery with great taste!!
Expanded to 29 locations since debuting in 2015 Backstube seeks to deliver freshly baked goods at a fair price, and although perhaps not as artisan as other bakeries throughout Europe a broad menu tackles several European traditions with overall decent results. Visited at Olav Vs Gate 8 in Oslo, early arrival and an ability to self-select items with tongs both assuring several items still-warm, Backstube’s Pastel de Nata falls short of those in Portugal but outpaces many elsewhere thanks to a flaky shell surrounding smooth Custard. Less impressed by a dry Cinnamon Roll or oblong “Brezel” with rubbery Cheese, though the twist with Vanilla Custard and Nuts is good, Backstube’s Cronut eats more like a laminated Biscuit than Viennoiserie while the “Berlinerflette” with Sesame Seeds and sweet Glaze is yeasty, nuanced and delicious.
Good bakery. Nothing crazy but good products and not insane prices. The orange juice I ordered was good as well.

My favourite German-style bakery. Pretzel, börek, pizze, pastel de nata, various types of bread. Good value.
